Link Medical Alert Review
ConsumersAdvocate.org Rating: 6.6 / 10 (Very good)
Why They're a Good Choice
The thing we like most about the Link Medical Alert is the stylishness of the call buttons. The hardware in the unit is of high quality - which isn't surprising seeing as how the unit is made by Intel & GE (two large companies who've specialized in high-quality hardware manufacturing for years) The call buttons are available in wristband, necklace & clip-on forms and they sure are sleek.
What we don't like about the Link Medical Alert is that there's no cell phone connectivity option, so the base unit must be transported when traveling. Our editors also recorded slower than average response times when trying to connect w/customer service representatives.
What's Included with Link Medical:
- Wristbands, necklaces & clip ons alert button options
- 30-hr backup battery time
- No long term contract required
- No activation fees
The Fine Print:
- Hardware made by GE & Intel
- Longer than average customer service wait times
The Link Medical Alert is a solid medical alert choice on account of their high quality hardware. They offer middle of the road pricing at $24.95/mo but also middle of the road service. They do have a solid, good looking and reliable unit manufactured by 2 trusted companies.
The Bottom Line:
Link Medical is not our 1st choice for medical alerts, however, they're a viable option.
