Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement. The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract. After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

Typical ... always looking for a reason not to pay. No one to talk to to appeal a denied claim. Leave a message and no one ever calls back. Just sent an email saying "denied". This is the 2nd claim they've weaseled out of. What a waste of money!

Contracted for year service paid it in full. My first claim months later was terrible. Promise after promise to send rech to fix a leak in my dishwasher. After six weeks of calling they said could not find a company to service in my area. Offered to give me $200 to replace my $700.00 Bosch dishwasher. When I contracted with this company the main concern with the previous company was lack of service in my area. I was assured they had adequate service companies to handle my claims. Obviously NOT! They said read your contract but the never mailed. It to me even after multiple requests. I am 81 years old and two months of dealing with this company was too much. They basically cheated me... Select Home warranty is a scam and joke. First you make a payment and then your contract isn't valid until 30 days after you pay. If you want to cancel your contract they charge you $75 and a prorated fee for the contract. They will not approve your claim but they will tell you that after you a pay $60 fee for a technician to come to your home. DO NOT choose Select home warranty, you will be sorry.

I made a claim on my over the oven microwave. I understand, now, the importance of knowing the age of my appliances. They will be giving me $95 to towards a new over the oven microwave. This explains why I did not have to give any information about my current appliances.

This is the worst company ever I had for appliances home warranty. I have them for 2 years and I called them 3 times: one for my bathroom faucet, two for my stove, three for my cloth washer. BUT they never fix anything, and they told me that my appliances it is too old to be fixed. Every time I make countless calls and explain the situation, but they are supper slow, do not understand, do not help at all. They always find a way to reject your claim or assign bad technician who do not know what they are doing. It is my mistake because I bought 5 years policy and paid $1650.
