My washing machine died on 12/31/2016. AHS sent a repair person to my house and he determined that it would cost more to repair my appliance than to purchase a new one. AHS called me the next day to let me know what machine they recommended and told me that if I wished to have a different machine to let them know and they would use the one I wanted. After researching different machines on line, I decided that the one they recommended was a good machine. In fact, it was better then the one I had! I let them know, and they placed the order and 3 days later I was using a brand new washer. As far as customer service, they were knowledgeable and courteous. Like many people, I wondered if home warranty insurance was really worth the cost. Absolutely! If I had not had the insurance, I would have at least $700 for a new machine comparable to my old machine.

For those of you that left a bad review on this site, I can only disagree in the strongest terms. I had been a subscriber to American Home Shield for 7 years at my last home. Most of the time when I called them, they wanted to deny the claim and weaseled out of everything they could. When I moved to my new house in 2013, I dumped AHS and researched all of the current home warranty services online, comparing prices, service, costs and user reviews. I settled on Home Service Club. And here's the thing I am kicking myself for. They were SUBSTANTIALLY lower in annual cost than AHS. I could have saved enough for a REALLY nice vacation and saved a lot of aggravation if I had switched to HSC back then. But here's the thing, you never know how good a service is until you have to use them, and I used them in a BIG way around Christmas. As I said, I've been in my current home for 3 years and have had HSC protection for all of them. Fortunately I haven't had to use them, but just as the cold weather was hitting here in Las Vegas, the heating and air conditioning system for my two downstairs levels went out. Luckily the upstairs system was still working, and I pretty much live on that upper level, but it was cold in the mornings downstairs and I need to do some things down there. I went online and submitted my very first claim to HSC at about 11:00 am on Monday, 12/26/16 (a business holiday). By 11:05 I had a confirmation email from HSC letting me know what to expect and at 9:00 am the next morning I had a call from the repair company, A-Tech Heating and Cooling. I specifically told them this was NOT an emergency, that I had heat to most of the house, and to just work me in when they had time. They scheduled an appointment for that Friday between 8:00-9:00 (the first available morning I could work with them). The timing for me was perfect. Luke, the technician showed up exactly as scheduled and quickly went to work diagnosing the problem. It turns out that the system needed a new blower fan motor. But wait, this isn't just ANY old motor. This is a high tech ECM motor, starting at over $800 for just the replacement motor. Labor was on top of that. My heart sank. With my experience with the old AHS company, I was worried that the replacement would not be approved, or that they would try to substitute a cheaper PSC motor. Luke, the tech, needed to call for authorization. I was sure there would be a fight to this. Nope, Home Service Club did need to run it by their HVAC advisors, but an hour later they called to let me know the replacement ECM motor was approved. Just like that. No arguing, no hassle, they even sounded cheery over the phone like it was their pleasure to do this. A-Tech called back about an hour after that to let me know they had located a motor and out be out the next day to install it. Again, they showed up on time and had everything operational within an hour. My out of pocket expense, just the $120 I had contracted for (yes, I chose to save a few dollars by having a higher deductible). Oh, and that total repair bill? I calculate the part and labor was just about what I had paid over the last 3 years for my HSC warranty. HSC also followed up to make sure the repair was completed and that I was 100% satisfied. Am I a happy HSC client? You bet! I highly recommend them! Oh, and one other thing that meant a lot to me. Their service partner, A-Tech Heating and Cooling, is a top notch company. Very professional, very helpful and they bent over backwards to make sure I was happy. When I was able to get AHS to send out a technician for a repair at my old house, the service company they sent were sometimes just a one man operation working out of their car. Not HSC. They contract with only the best. Mark me down as a VERY satisfied subscriber to the Home Service Club Home Warranty service. And you can bet, for as long as I own this house or any other house I will have HSC protecting me!

Contractor arrived in a timely manner; they were clean in appearance. Appeared familiar with appliance which needed repair and proceeded to work on it. The repair was completed quickly. The repair-man was complete in his work and very courteous as he arrived & as he left.

I am a proud member of the home service club for some time now and i am so happy. I have always received the best customer service and with my busy sech they always handle it all for me in a timely manor. Only thing for me to do is to be home to let techs in and the rest is done for me. With my old house that I grew up in and all the problems that happen due to age I am so happy that the home service club covers me and they always renew me. My last home warranty got rid of me the moment I expired and I only had two problems in a year (one they didnt cover because it was deemed pre existing). This company didnt do that to me and I was very greatful. After these couple of years with them and them almost replacing all of my appliances I can say I will stay with them forever. Even when not covered cause my sons basketball knocked my garage door opener off and broke it to pieces they got me a company that gave me the discount that they would give the home service club OOOO and the garage door company moved me up and gave me a sooner appointment time because I was a member of the home service club and we all know we need a garage door working. Thanks to everyone at the home service club.

Our hot water heater leaked and the contractor responded quickly and repaired the problem. He also recommended the Dry Wall Service that we would need to dry the walls surrounding the water heater. We were pleased with the time it took to restore everything to normal. The contractors were very polite, efficient and punctual. They did a marvelous job of cleaning up when they were finished.

We have been with The Home Service Club for a little over two years now and have had a couple of minuscule claims. All went well as they should have and we never had any complaints and never left any reviews. We, just recently, finished our first what I would call major claim. Heating stopped working and the house got cold quickly. It was one of those things which make you instantly nervous. But that was short lived. We were given a technician who came to the house right way and was exceptionally polite and confident in his abilities. A total of less than a couple of hours and a few trips back and forth to his truck, he replaced a few parts and everything was running again. He showed my husband what the problems were and left his business card for future maintenance work which we will be happy to hire him for. It has been a few days now and not a worry so far. We were notified by The Home Service Club to learn that the major repair was authorized and we were only responsible for our deductible just like on the previous smaller claims. We are both pleased with this as we were with the previous ones and it deserves taking a few minutes to write this feedback. You can call us satisfied customers.

It was 20degres,was very cold my heather fan went out,I call Home shield,in 20min.i receive a call from a vendor in less of 2 Hrs.a Tech show up,he adjust the Fan to work until he pick up the new part,he return the next day first thing in the morning,and install the New a Fan,the Tech was very resourful,he was well,presented,left the area very clean on both times he work on my Unit.imwas very please,with the customer service,they understud my problem and act very fast,looking for a Contractor that was available .
