Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement. The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract. After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

They got a plumber out to my house the next day. Jason came out to determine the problem, had to get the part, came back two days later, fixed my hot water heater. I was very pleased with the work he did and very pleased with Select for getting him out to me.

I had this warranty over a year and never used it. When my hot tub needed a new heater they refused. Under my contract it says SPA. They told me they don't cover above ground hot tubs when I told them twice when I first started the application when asked that it was above ground.

I had a flood because the faucet behind the washer failed. Only way to stop the water was to turn the water off for the entire house. Claim submitted on May 13th 2020. After many calls the company finally sent an mail they were looking for a technician on the 17th but it would taken another 48 hours to to get a name. Then I would have to call and get appt. I could not be without water for over a week. After 3 days I called a plumbing service and got it fixed at a cost of $684. I'm going to submit for reimbursement but am not anticipating a good response. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

Buyer beware!!! As they say, always read the fine print before you purchase. I specifically bought this service for the roof repair warranty. Over the winter we did develop a water leak coming from the roof in the garage. Well, low & behold, that is NOT covered, along with a host of other exclusions. Bottom line. Got taken, and my fault. Always look over fine print. Worth your effort. Read carefully and figure out what IS covered. Not much: 6.4.2. Limited Roof Leak. I contacted Select Home Warranty because I noticed a noise that started in my A/C unit. 48 hours to get my claim assigned to a company and I had to contact them even though I had already responded to Select Home Warranty's inquiry asking me for 3 possible dates and times for service. Then they tell me I have to send them a picture of my A/C unit and 3 years of maintenance records. REALLY! The A/C tech can tell them if the unit has been abused or has not been taken care of. When I signed up, they did not require any proof but now that I have a claim, they want proof. Terrible service!! Don't sign up with them.

This company does NOT on their contracts. They will call a technician out but then make you pay not only their service fee but also the labor to repair a covered part. I waited nearly a week for someone to inspect my washer and then was told they can repair it but it will cost $155.00 more for labor. I asked the select warrant person to show me where in my contract that labor was not covered and she could only show me that if I needed a new one installation would not be covered.
