For the sake of education and peace-of-mind, this company provides a sample contract and quote calculator on their website. In exchange for a $75 administration fee, they also offer a pro-rated refund if the initial 30 days have expired.

Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement. The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract. After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

My first contact with Select was on 5/27/20 to file a claim. I can say my experience with them has been terrible. You get a call center in the Philippines, they quote from script. They stated it would take 24-48 to locate a contractor, on 5/29/20 still no contractor ,so they advised me I could find my own and I could be reimbursed, as long as contractor called and received authorization for the repair . Well on Saturday 5/30/20 contractor came and we called guess what the authorization section was gone not sure for the day or they don't work weekends, either way I had no air in Arizona an it is now 3 days later . First claim and it was with ac not working. Selected your technician who immediately upon inspecting outside unit said coil was bad and leaked the gas and oil out causing system to fail. R and A Cooling wrote it up as a electrical failure. What warranty people say is it was electrical failure and we don't cover that. All ac units are electrical so this warranty is useless. Best part is I have Selects ac installers emailing telling me claim was denied a day before Select denied it. Kinda odd and fishy that they knew and were trying to sell their product. Like they knew it was gonna be denied and peddling their product. Hmm I will be installing my own with a local Atlanta based... Read More

Horrible company. It is NOT a home warranty service; the company will not pay anything toward fixing a malfunctioning appliance or system. It only will pay a percentage of the amount for any parts needed for the repair and nothing for the labor costs. Do not purchase a "home" warranty from this "business."

For home warranty they are pretty standard. I did not like one of the contractors they sent out to look at our water heater, because they did not know what they were doing. However you have the choice on who does the repair. Easy to file a claim

I've used them a few times and always had a pleasant Customer Service Representative. Contractors are Professional and precise with the job. When they come, there in/out in a timely manner with the job complete. I would give 5 stars but the turn around time from placing a call in for service, to actually getting the a service provider/contractor is 48 hrs.

All of information provided, along with the working to allow the required funding to be synced with an unusal income we have makes it easier for the client (me) to arrange payment. Not something most others will attempt. The cost was almost one third the cost of the initial warranty company.

Greg Thompson was very accommodating and flexible in a payment plan that fits our senior citizen budget. I am excited about this home warranty company as my old one charged more for half the items covered by Select. Greg was very polite and knowledgeable about a warranty plan that fits our needs.
