For the sake of education and peace-of-mind, this company provides a sample contract and quote calculator on their website. In exchange for a $75 administration fee, they also offer a pro-rated refund if the initial 30 days have expired.

Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement. The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract. After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

Lucas Smart was very knowledgable about the products and services. So knowledgable that he signed me for my two rental properties and my own home. Hopefully I will no to file any claims but if I do, I know I will be protected. Thank you Lucas for answering my questions, being patient and providing great service

Don't ever use Select Home Warranty. I don't want other people to struggle like me when the repair is needed the most and find out that it is not covered. Before I purchased the policy with Select Home Warranty, I checked and made sure what was covered and not. Since most of the home warranty have a max. coverage, I made sure that there is enough cost to cover the central AC, roof leak, major appliances repair, etc. The salesperson even modified max. cap as $11,000 in my contract. The fact that this company has any stars is unbelievable! I called to inquire about specific types of coverage only to be met with a rude, condescending and unprofessional agent! Someone is stacking the ratings because I see that I am not the only person to get such a bad first impression. I WILL NOT be doing business with this company. You may want to train your agents about what true customer service is and what it means why a "hard or aggressive" technique will get you no where!

I called to inquire about their policies. The man was rude, and just wanted my credit card number. He didn’t want me asking questions. Even got huffy when in the first 1-2 minutes I wouldn’t give him my credit card number. I had to hang up on him. FRAUD!!!

If i could give this company zero stars I would! They were horrible. Poor customer service and they just read scripts instead of actually figuring out an issue. I requested to cancel three times and it’s like they’d hold you hostage and drain all your money while the “loyalty department” tried to make it right. I was told they would lower my monthly payment and my service fee- that was a lie. I did a claim and paid a higher service fee than provided… they said they would refund the fee but never did. They charged me the wrong monthly payment and refused to pay for labor for an approved claim. After canceling the account they charged me another fee after saying they wouldn’t. They refused...
