How can a company get a 4.8 star rating with 273 negative reviews to the BBB? In 2 years with Select Home Warranty, I have made 4 claims and all 4 have been unbearable! Each claim has required me to call "them" (you will always speak to a third world country person who has NO ability to help you. They apologize, and say, "I'm sorry over, and say they will "expedite" your claim, but I promise you, NOTHING will happen unless you call over and over and over again. In the current claim that is in process, I filed the claim, had the work done, submitted invoice, receipt and pictures on 29 July 2020. I totally agree Select home warranty is scammers. They take 2-3 weeks to send a technician and then after a week tell u as per this in the policy you will not be covered. Please do not get this warranty because they will not fix anything and just take your money. I am dissapointed and frustrated without Ac for 22 days. lane service and I will not even give them 0 rating.
This company is a SCAM. Please review BBB and other social media to see how real consumers are reviewing this company. You purchase what you think is a comprehensive plan only to find out it's "not" covered and you need to spend more money purchasing additional riders for coverage. They are very slick with the language of their contract read carefully and ask questions even if they seem simple! Please know that their top package doesn't cover basic home repairs so know that the $494 they quote will be MUCH higher. I had their coverage for 10 days and they charge me $200 of the $494 contract to cancel.
So far, so good! Although they wanted additional money for additional service from original contract, within 10 minutes of service request, provider was assigned and by the end of the day he was at my house. Great job!
ZERO STARS! These people are the worst and lied to us! They just only want your money. Completely unorganized and complete scammers! We are dropping our warranty with them, getting our full refund and going to another company ASAP.
We still didn’t get our issues fixed and they scammed us out of money. They haven’t even called us back like they keep telling us they would. Complete waste of time and money! Please be very careful with these people as they will completely lie to you and then not help you!
WORST EVER. They sent two different appliance repairmen to check the freezer on my refrigerator. Ultimately denied my claim because it had an ice dispenser. I put in the claim in may, I just got denied in september. save yourself the headache.
This is the worst home warranty service i have ever had! I am currently looking for somewhere that i can post my review! If i could give a negative star, i would. I would be willing to bet that this post will not be listed as a review. They would never cover any claim that I submitted....it was always in the "fine print" of the contract. I called two months ago to cancel and STILL have not received my refund check! Do Not Use this Company!
Worst experience and company ever to get service from, In other words, it’s a Scam. I used AHS for over 8 years and this year just for a change and cheap package I signed up with Select Home warranty, paid a whole year in advance. Filled 2 claims and canceled my account within 34 days. Both claims were my worst experience in fact a nightmare. For the first claim, even after getting approval from the authorization department I still end up paying $160 For 2nd Claim, that was the main nightmare which convinces my mind to just get rid of this company. Todd was helpful in getting claim set up. As of this writing still waiting on service contractor information.
First claim was denied due to not being covered. Second claim is in process. Will have to see. A 2 minute wait time turned into 45 but they did call me back. Rep was very curt and not very attentive but said he would file the claim and get me an electrician.
