Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

You are not a customer to them, you are a sucker!!! DO NOT USE SELECT WARRANTY!!! I have a 3 year warranty with no claims. I recently called when my sewer pump stopped working. They said my plan did not cover sewer pumps but I could add it under "optional coverage". I don't need coverage after I buy a new one!! Later I called to cancel my policy. I was told a refund would be prorated less a cancellation fee of $75 and a $25 admin. fee. I would receive a check for about $300 for a policy I paid $1050 for. This company does not deserve 1 star!! DO NOT USE SELECT WARRANTY!!!!

I have been paying these people for almost 2 years, my compressor went out on my fridge and after being in the phone with them for almost a week, they told me they were not covering the claim because it was an electrical issue. I called the service guy and he said no they should cover it. He is calling them for me. They said they would give me 150 as a courtesy once I got it fixed and sent them am invoice, I went off, they are a scam. I will report them to the BBAnd B and I will also be contacting my local news because they go after people that scam like this. DO NOT USE SELECT!!!! THEY ARE SCAMMERS

I made a claim to Select Home Warranty and they said they would not pay the claim in full but only at a reduced rate since the claim was within 90 days of the activation date of my policy. I told them the contract they sent me clearly states a 30 day waiting period however the customer rep said it was their internal policy to limit the amount paid on a claim to $500 dollars in the first 90 days. The rep refused to send me this in writing. I contacted them again and they said the claim limit was limited to $150 in the first 90 days, again refusing to send me the policy in writing. Our heating wasn't working so we open a claim and they sent over Doherty Enterprise LLC. We paid $75 and the diagnosis they provided was (replace oil primary control), which it would cost $872.39 and they would only cover $150. My husband was upset and tried to solved the problem himself and he found out that two cables were loose/disconnected!!! We were angry and when i called for the $75 reimbursement the operator Ann who answered said that they couldn't refund me. I asked to speak to supervisor and supervisor told her to tell me to read my contract. Thiefs!

The company advertises that they will repair/replace by a licensed technician (which is in their contract in 10.1) but then in 9.1.2 3rd word from the bottom, not separated by a comma says that they don't cover instillation. Then they want 3 years of service records by a licensed technician. When they sold us the policy they said that they cover the technician, the parts and if needed the replacement of a unit. They are sneaky and even the few repair guys I have had out here said that they do this and that they are about to drop them as a contractor.

DON'T BELIEVE REVIEWS because they give free month for reviews, so they incentivize reviews so most people have barely signed up. Also, DENIED CLAIM BECAUSE THEY DIDNT WANT TO PAY. The technician told them a covered item needed to be replaced and told them a bunch of stuff wrong with it, and they picked out one small detail that wasn't even the main problem and denied it. They basically refused to resubmit the claim because they simply didn't want to pay for the replacement, which is the entire point of a warranty. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

My policy covers ceiling fans. When I contacted them to repair it took them 10 days to inform me they didn’t want to repair but would give me $100 toward having it repaired myself. I secured all the parts and hired an electrician. Repairs were made and I submitted my receipts. It took them two weeks to verify receipts. Then I was told it would take 30 days for them to issue my check. Day 30 and still no check. This company has very bad customer service and no follow up.

About a month ago I called and said I would like to start a contract with them and they said that they will cover 100% and I paid them 3 years ahead. On the first claim they said said tat they only cover a small percentage of the repair cost and lied t me about the 100% coverage. I spoke to a representative and I asked to talk to a Supervisor and they won’t let me and kept avoiding my requests. This is a very disappointing and unprofessional insurance company. I 100% DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM. They will rip you off

They deserve an F. I would go back to American Home Shield by SHW would charge me $75 per policy for cancellation and I purchased 4 policies from them. Select Home Warranty does not care about their customers. The only care about making a profit. It took them 4 days to get back to me to say they could not find a technician for me and the required me to find my own. Then they made me jump through hoops to get reimbursed. Safe yourself a whole lot of grief and go with American Home Shield. I will be doing the same thing once these policies expired. If I could give a zero star, I would. Considered yourself warned about Select Home Warranty.
