Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement. The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract. After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

It's been 5 weeks since I've renewed my policy for a second year, and I still haven't received my policy documents. I have spoken with Select Customer Service at least 5 times - including to a supervisor - without success. I would not recommend purchasing from Select.

Select Home warranty company cheated me and tricked me into buying 5 years plan prepaid and even a single claim they did not honor.. When i cancled i lost more than thousands of dollars and received only 100 or so dollars.. i would never go with these folks

We bought a 3-year policy for $1484. After 30 days, we opened a claim that was denied. It was a simple case of a shower handle coming off of the shower stem. For something this small and inexpensive, it should be covered. Why would I buy a policy that doesn't cover simple, inexpensive item as this? Furthermore, they said that we had to pay more to cover this type of repair... Another issue was that for the first 30 days, there was a freeze on the account, which meant that we could not use the policy. After the first 30-day freeze, plus 15 more days, they charge me $75 when I tried to cancel. But from the point of view of a consumer, the first 30 days of the contract should be day 31-60,... This is literally the worst company ever. I paid for a 3 year policy and cannot wait until it's done. I got the runaround on repairs for my refrigerator just to get told they wont cover repairs and instead were cashing me out for $275. My fridge is not old and in great condition, other than the fan noise. Avoid this company and go to literally anyplace else.

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE THIS COMPANY IS A RIP OFF PAID 1,499 FOR A 3 YEAR POLICY 10 MONTHS IN HAD AN ISSUE WITH PLUMBING AND THEY DENIED THE CLAIM. APPEALED THE DENIAL AFTER THE PLUMBING COMPANY SPOKE TO THEM ALSO. PLUMBING COMPANY SAID SHOULD BE A COVERED ITEM THEY HAD NEVER HEARD OF THIS. CALLED THE COMPANY BECAUSE THEY NEVER NOTICED US IT WAS DENIED OVER A MONTH LATER. CANCELLED POLICY ASKED PAID FOR MY PRORATED DAYS BUT ASK THE 60 DAYS OF POOR COMMUNICATION AND RUN AROUND NOT BE CHARGED AS PRORATION AND THEY SAID NO. THEY HAVE THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE BY FAR AND I ADVISE EVERYONE TO SAVE THERE MONEY THEY ARE MONEY SCAMMERS!!!!!!!

How is this company have a rating of 4.8? My parents needed their AC unit repaired, so they contacted customer service and was informed that there wasn't a technician available. They were told to contact a local company to complete the diagnostics, and repair. The entire unit needed to be replaced. This was July in AZ and it was 120 degrees outside. They contacted SunStar - a great company and the unit was replaced. Their claim was denied. Select claims there was a freon leak...SunStar provided letters and contacted Select to inform them that it wasn't a freon leak. if anyway I can give them no start, I will do it. 1, they have a lot of the fine print to turn you down for the coverage 2. I paid $2000 for 5 years coverage with 1 yrs free. sounds good right? Not true. they cheat you at section 13. when I sold my house, I decided to cancel this insurance after 600 days with this insurance, they stole my $1000+. I only got $900 refund. not only 600 days insurance fee deduced, also $75 cancellation fee. and I only had one claim last year, $200. they also want I paid. This company is a fraud. I had an interior water pipe leak - the cold water supply to my kitchen sink. The pipe and the kitchen sink are fully inside my home. I had to shut the water off to my home for 8 days while I navigated their requests....wanted to talk to the plumber, twice. Wanted photos. Wanted an invoice and written statement. Then, they denied it claiming that the water pipe was outdoors. For 3 weeks I spoke with countless agents who couldn't seem to understand -- chose not to understand it was an interior water line. The customer service person was very polite and courteous. However I was having a difficult time understanding the conversation as she had a Filipino accent. She was also struggling to understand me as well. Having said all this. Over-all it was a pleasant experience, and she was able to take my claim info, and gather the needed information necessary to begin the search for an Air Conditioning repair person in my area.
