Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement. The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract. After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

They will lie to you just to sell the policy and will not entertain claims when you file one! This guy Lucas smart promised me that the policy will kick in right away and there will be no waiting period- but guess what they later didn’t except the claim… read the fine prints carefully and have them mention everything in writing! Also, note that they don’t cover replacement costs beyond certain amount - for me it’s a washer and they cover only until $500 — where in the world would you find a washer for $500 ! Do yourself a favor and work with some other companies out there !

Very dissatisfied with Select. We chose them last year when I prior policy expired. Our water heater sprung a leak and was unrepairable necessitating a new one. They refused to compromise with one on getting a new one. We did not expect them to pay for it entirely. They indicated that they don't pay for leaks. Leaks are the failure that are most likely to happen with water heaters. As luck would have it, our policy is due for a renewal in about 2 weeks and they keep calling asking us to renew. Needless to say we will not be doing that and will be giving them bad rating on consumer protection sites.

Absolutely the worst. I had another company for over 10 years and left as the vendors they used were lacking. I paid this company for THREE YEARS in advance for my property AND my rental property. WHAT A BAD DESISION. I made one claim for my less that 10 year old refrigerator and the condenser was broke. They refused to fix it and offered me $200 to replace the unit. When I asked where and how they came up with that number, they refused to elaborate. My washer and dryer just stopped working, they want TWO service fees for ONE technician to come out. I total agree with all the terrible comments about Select Home Warranty. The customer service is really bad. They can never find anyone in our area to meet their criteria to work on anything because no one wants to work with them. In frustration, you get what's broken fixed out of your pocket because you need it. They are totally worthless and don't care. Do not do business with them.

Avoid this service like the plague. They will delay and delay in replacing an item. It may be affordable, but it is not a good service what so ever.

I would like to talk about my policy (788114859). When we talked about the program, you shared that if something broke and could not be repaired that it would be replaced. This is not proving to be true on my dishwasher. 1. Since February, I've had to call and call and call just to get movement 2. I had to initiate the call between Select Home Warranty (SHW) and GE to get the repair person to file his report 3. I had to call back to cause action by SHW to move it to the next level 4. I have been "disconnected" or on hold for 20+ minutes (finally hung up) 5. The GE maintenance person shared that the part no longer exists and therfore the entire dishwasher had to be replaced 6.... My ac unit broke and called select warranty which I have coverage with and they told me that they couldn’t get a technician to me write away and told me to find a technician and have him inspected the unit I was able to get a technician and check the unit he told me that the unit was shot and had to be replace he send the repair estimate to select home warranty and explain the issue which is covered under their warranty but they denied the coverage and I was out $4800. DOLLARS out of my pocket we send them all the legitimate estimate they game me the runaround that they’re only giving me$250. DOLLARS they are not backing up their warranty coverage

They are a complete rip off. They will take months to repair. And then the contractors don't know what they are doing!!!! And when you take you own actions. You will not be reimbursed

I am not sure if an actual customer will ever present a positive review of this company. I have been a customer for more than a year and I have only one opinion. This is a fraud business and will do nothing that they promise you when you sign up. They are unable to get any service provide due to their terrible track record and thus the customer ends up paying all the costs of any repair work to be done. They throw the contract language at you in every instance when they refuse to pay you and even after agreeing to pre-authorize charges they refuse when you make the claim.

Worst experience ever. My heating system went out 5 months after moving into my home. I contacted them with the information from the HVAC inspector that Select recommended. The system needed a new Blower Motor which was $1200. I had to call them daily to get any information. Every day I was given the same information, And the Select Agent on the phone said we are looking at your claim. We will call you with a decision after review. This when on for almost a month. Each week that went by my frustration level grew more intense. Finally the contacted me and sheepishly stated.
