Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement. The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract. After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

Do not use this company! They do not pay their claims. I had a compressor blow up so because there was no freon/the freon leaked out because of the blow up they refused to pay the claim. Their reasoning was because the freon had leaked out it was a freon related issue and the contract did not freon related issues. The authorization agent completely misunderstood and misinterpretted the technicians diagnosis. Getting it changed/corrected was impossible. The customer service rep could not do it, their supervisor could not do it. I kept getting flickering from my chandallere. Tracey accepted my claim request on August 11 and I had a certified electrician on the 16th. This is some pretty quick service!

For now the only service I have had need for was one that was included for free, roof leak coverage. After I heavy rain in August I had to wait for the roof to dry out before a claim could be covered. The patch has held up so far and only took an hour to do. The roofer was licensed too.

I called Select Home Warranty about my dishwasher. My dishwasher cost 600.00. SHW sent out a company called TMT for the repair. The technician diagnosed the problem bad pump, heater and wand. Then for some reason TMT fired him. We called TMT asking why it was taking two weeks to get back to us. They said that they fired the technician. Then we waited another week. I called TMT back and she said they had the parts and were ready to come and finish the job. Well a young boy showed up without all the parts. My wife had to find and play a youtube video so the guy could replace the wand in the dishwasher. He tried to get us to sign off on the job saying the repair was finished. So then when we... Purchased a Home Warranty from Select Home Warranty on 10May19. The covered items included appliances and HVAC system for my condo. Claim filed on 28Aug19 for AC unit not cooling and for poor air flow. Western Air Control (Great Company) came out on 29Aug19 to look at the issue(s). They advised that the accumulator was faulty and leaking freon Later I received a email from Select Home Warranty stating that my claim was denied because they do not cover freon leaks. I called Select Home Warranty to tell them that there is a freon leak because of a failed accumulator. Another company of my choice come out to evaluate my system. They sent an unlicensed hvac technician that charged my $955 then took the money and never completed the work. The tech would schedule appointments and not show. Select home warranty took no responsibility for their subcontractor and was elusive as possible to avoid getting back to me

Their strength is in how many providers in my area they had to offer me which gave me a turn around time of 4 days. It was my oven range and gladly the parts were all in stock so easy to replace.

They have a lot of passion in the services they offer. My service calls are always handled by qualified and knowledgeable staff that has sent me repair companies that know the story and how to handle my claim properly.

No more issues with my plumbing system now that Select fix the pipe behind my toilet. A drip turned into a backup and it was all handled under a single easy claim process. I got service in 2 weeks.
