Landmark’s coverage varies by state. Furthermore, there are two plan categories depending on the customer's situation. The Homeowner Plan is for those who have already owned their house for 30 days. The Real Estate Plan is for new home purchase. The following details regarding coverage and pricing will be examples of the Homeowner Plan. Landmark's Homeowner coverage is divided into two different plans, the Home Systems Plan, and the Total Protection Plan. The Systems covers services like A/C and Heating Pre-Season Tune-up and pest control, comprehensive AC and heater coverage, electrical systems, and plumbing. Total Protection includes all of these plus appliances.

Like the service fee, Landmark's yearly premium for its Homeowner Plans varies by state. In Utah, Oregon, and Idaho, choosing the $100 service fee will produce a $350 premium for the Home System Plan, and a $600 premium for the Total Protection Plan. If you were to opt for the $60 service fee, this would increase the Home System Plan premium to $400, and the Total Protection Plan to $650. In Texas, Nevada, and Arizona, the $100 service fee will yield a $360 premium for the Home Systems Plan, and a $610 premium for the Total Protection Plan. Finally, in these states, choosing the $70 service fee will cost $425 for the Home Systems Plan and $675 for Total Protection. Landmark has an online quote calculator available on their website, for customers who'd like more specifics. If the policyholder chooses to cancel, Landmark offers a 30-day, full money-back guarantee, with the exception of a $40 administration fee.

Cancellation Policy

a) LHW may not cancel this contract during the initial term for which it was issued, except for any of the following reasons: (1) the contract holder does not pay a fee or charge due under the terms of this contract; (2) the contract holder engages in fraud or misrepresentation of facts material to the issuance of the contract; (3) an interest in the residential property covered under this contract is sold, and the contract is contingent on an interest in the property not being sold. b) If contract is cancelled, homeowner shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $40 administrative fee, and any actual service costs incurred by LHW. If listing coverage is cancelled after service has been performed, and the contract fee has not yet been paid, contract holder will be responsible for purchase of contract, or reimbursement to LHW of service costs incurred, whichever is less. c) Cancellation may be made by Contract Holder at any time. If cancelled within 30 days of acceptance of LHW, and no service request has been made, the Contract Holder is entitled to a full refund of the contract proceeds less an administrative fee of $40. Utah Residents: If Contract is cancelled by us, cancellation will be effective no sooner than 10 days for paragraph A.1, and 30 days for A.2 and A.3 after delivery or 1st class mailing of a written notice to the contract holder.

Landmark offers two service fees. Choosing the lower price will result in a higher yearly premium. The minimum service fee is $60 (Utah, Oregon, Idaho) or $70 (Texas, Nevada, Arizona). This is our first home and we didn't know how difficult it would be to work with a home warranty company. Landmark has made it easy and quick. They quickly ascertain the problem over the phone and set us up with local services right away. We had some trouble getting in touch with our plumber to set up the appointment, and I was worried that the job would never get done and we'd be forgotten, but Landmark was diligent in following up with us and helped us get the job done. They contacted the plumber for us and stayed in contact with us until the service was completed.

Very responsive to our requests for assistance. The individual who came to our home was very knowledgeable and courteous. We are currently waiting for a decision on our oven/microwave combo. The control panel went out and a replacement is not available. The person who came to our home said this control panel is no longer made.

After waking up and seeing one messy looking pool I realized that my vacuum was not working. There was a circuit on my panel that was red. The electricity was not the issue. It had to be the pump itself. I called Landmark, and they opened the claim. I asked if it was possible to find someone to come that day (Saturday) and they said most pool companies don't work on Saturdays but they went thru their list and then did a Google search and found a company that was open on Saturdays. I originally opened a claim on my refrigerator back in February. It is late August now and my refrigerator is still broken. Multiple contractors have come out and attempted to fix my refrigerator. They temporarily fix the problem but the refrigerator soon breaks again. Landmark Home Warranty will not replace the refrigerator despite multiple failed attempts to fix it. Nothing special. Service is okay and decent. When I requested a service appointment I got an email saying company such and such would call in a few hours. They never did, so had to call and set up an appointment myself, 5 star service would have been Landmark taking care of that themselves. Kind of disappointed that the only actual phone call we ever got from Landmark Home Warranty was after our service was complete the plumber recommended a chemical flush on our hot water heater. I've had two occasions to use my home warranty insurance this year: 1. Dryer stopped working. They sent an absolute idiot to fix the dryer who just kept saying he needed to order to more parts. After several appointments it became apparent he didn't know what he was doing so I called the local appliance dealer who sent out a repairman the same day and had the dryer running in five minutes. He charged me $60 and Landmark Home warranty sent me a check for $80. It all ended well. 2. My refrigerator left a layer of ice on all the items on the top shelf. A reputable repairman came out who ordered and installed, to my satisfaction, a new thermostat. A positive experience.
