AHG has a per-item benefit limit of $500 for heating and cooling equipment for the first three months of coverage, which increases to $2,000 after that initial period. Similarly, their benefit limit per appliances, plumbing, and electrical starts out at $150 and increases to $500 after the first three months. worst disrespectful company ever they refuse to service my claim I paid on sept 1st they told me I had to wait 30 days to file a claim when I filed a claimed they wanted more money from me I paid for a month I didn't have service I was put on hold several times I called back several times they seen my number and put me back on hold the supervisor was very unprofessional I ended up paying $289.00 out of pocket don't buy a home warranty from this company there bogus

Hi Sherry, A claims specialist explained that your monthly payment was due at the time of your call, while addressing your request to file a claim. You were under the impression that you were able to transfer a previous month's payment to the next month because you believed that if you haven't used the previous month for a service/ claim that it would be transferable to the following month. If that was the case, one can conclude that your premium would be equal to the (1) payment you submitted towards your plan. A 30 day waiting period is standard in the home warranty industry prior to filing any claim from the date of purchase which leads us to believe that you have had this issue prior to purchasing your home warranty with us. Our billing department had issued you a refund for your (1) monthly payment as per your request. We want to wish you a Happy holiday season and New Year. Sincerely, American Home Guard

I solicited American Home Guard for a home warranty prior to the close of my new home. I called the number listed on the company's online website. I spoke with sales person Joe Williams concerning a possible home warranty policy purchase. I did not purchase right away, only receieved a few quotes and explained I would call back if I chose his company for the policy. I recently switched to American home after a bad experience with my previous provider. I used them once in 6 months for my air conditioner. Turns out the compressor was completely shot. They replaced it and got it running on no time.

I call in a claim on my dryer and I was given the run around for 2 days, a week later the company was still trying to find a contractor. I was given a contractors number , I called him and he stated that he was not coming because he have had problems receiving his pay for service in the past. I finally got feed up with this mess and call Sears to fix my dryer. When I tried to cancel my contract they tell me its a 75.00 cancellation fee which is in the fine print. So American Home Guard charge me a 75.00 fee for not handling their end of the bargain. I would suggest you stay away from this home warranty company.

This will confirm that American Home Guard was able to secure a service technician dispatched for the policy holder within 48 hours of the claim submission for the clothes dryer to be checked. The policy holder chose to refuse the scheduled appointment and decided to handle the situation on their own. Subsequently the policy holder submitted a request to cancel the home warranty policy with American Home Guard, at which time was beyond the 30-day money back guarantee time frame. The policy holder signed the purchase agreement which clearly indicates all terms and conditions as we do not have "fine print". This will conclude that American Home Guard has followed through with our responsibility according to the product we offer. We value, appreciate and respect our client requests and do our very best to address any issues that arise as they are presented to us.

09-14-16 Today, I decided to obtain a "home warranty contract" with American Home Guard. I spoke with a Salesman by the name of Joe. I informed him that I wanted a monthly payment plan and if I liked the services I receive in the future then I would pay for future services on an annual basis. Joe decided to process a charge of $125 instead of the $58 that I approved for the monthly services. I mentioned monthly payments twice. So therefore, I decided not to go forward with the contract.

My realtor provided me with American Home Guard policy. I was a little cautious at first because I wanted AHS or even Secure Home Warranty but now I could not be happier. I had a problem with my heating system and they came out same day
