I tried making one claim with this company and i was given misinformation. I was told the claims process could be made 24/7 days and that was not true. The company doesn't have 24 hours availability. After i tried to make a claim the person i spoke with told me that i would have someone contact me back within 24 - 48 hours. When i didn't receive a call back i called again and they had no record of my original call/claim. I tried to file the claim again but i was told that my warranty didn't cover plumbing and i informed the person that my warranty did cover plumbing. Very unresponsive. Non Emergency claims per the contract are to be handled within 2 days during normal business hours and 4 days on weekend. I contact AHG on Thursday 8/3 at 1:52 PM and still haven't received a call or an email as promised. I have not heard from AHG or a vendor. It is Monday 8/7 3:43 PM. I called. They can't find an electrician. And what service are they supposed to be providing???? Can't evaluate repair.... They haven't done anything.
Extremely rude customer service. When I called and asked if my pool pump was covered I was told if I bought coverage than it's covered.
American home guard has been really good to me. We've had nothing but good experiences. They've taken care of my issues that I had with my refrigerator and stove. Submitting a claim is good and easy. The technician who fixed our ice maker was very informative about american home guard’s policy as well. He was very familiar with your company and other companies that he service for. He also told us that we should probably upgrade our policy to the blue plan because it has better coverage for a slightly higher price.
I have had an excellent experience so far. I just had my air conditioner go out mid June. After 15 years the unit wasn't worth repairing. American Home Guard replaced the unit with a brand new model. You cant go wrong spending 40 bucks a month for that.
American home 'guard' - complete and utter dissatisfaction!!! With people, service, promises, contract, etc!!! They have great sales people -- but no follow through!!! If i could, i would rate them as less than zero!!!
Fraud alert! I paid for their warranty service and received a contract. My heater went out in the coldest part of the winter in my area of Texas. American Home Guard sent technicians to my home. The technicians (two from the same company) recommended replacement of my unit because it could not be repaired. American Home Guard tried to avoid payment by trying to cancel my policy. They gave the reason that they no longer serviced the state of Texas. They serviced Texas when I bought the contract and at the time my heater went out. I really really wish I could give this company a negative rating. I called on 5/22/17 for a claim on a hot tub that stopped working. As of today (6/9/2017) I still have not gotten anywhere with getting someone to come out to diagnose the problem much less repair it. Oh, they sure were quick to charge my credit card when I signed up for it but ask for an email or phone call to know where the claim process is.....forget about it. I've called 7 times & each time I have repeat the problem despite them saying that they are just taking notes. I would never do business with this company again! I have had home warranties in the past and cancelled them due to bad service! I thought maybe this time would be different! I was wrong! I called the company on 5/26/2017 to take out a policy with them. The annual premium was only $350.00 and the services fee when someone had to come up was only $45.00 Too good to be true!! They were supposed to e-mail a copy of my policy as well as one through the regular mail. I called at least 6 times over the next week to let them know I never received a copy of my policy either by e-mail or in the mail. I finally realized they were just telling me what I wanted to here. A number of months after I purchased my warranty my dishwasher gave out and needed to be replaced. The claims department told me I could buy a new one and they sent me a check for $500 towards replacement. Good job guys.
