DO NOT buy home warranty coverage from this company. I purchased one year of coverage in July, 2017. Never made a claim whatsoever. Sales people called me in May, 2018 to renew for another year. I said, "No, I did not want to spend the money." In July, 2018 they charged my credit card anyway for another year of coverage. I was unaware of the charge until six days later. Called to cancel. Initially was told that cancellation must be in writing. Sent email notification requesting to cancel. Received cancellation notice stating entire amount would be refunded if cancelled within 30 days. I have called numerous times during office hours or not. Never able to talk with billing... Read More
Please… Please..DO NOT buy this insurance (American Home Guard) and allow yourself cheated! I bought this insurance (Blue plan) in March 2018. I called this company for a kitchen faucet leakage in last week of June. Until now (July 17th) , the issue is not resolved. I made at least 10 phone calls to this company. Every time I call, their response is “We are negotiating with a contractor, you will get an email before end of the day”. That email is never going to come until you make another two more calls. I never had a better experience with any other home warranty. I have had 6 others in the past and weren’t all to happy with them.
I was a little hesitant signing up at first but I’m really glad I did. My garage door wouldn’t open the other night when I got home from work. The motor wasn’t working at all so I called in the next day to get someone to come out and fix it. Raul was a really friendly and fixed it for me.
This was a very good company. I have four rental properties under American home guard. My tenants have filed a lot of claims and every claim was approved for them.
My realtor suggested a warranty When I purchased my home a few months ago. My dishwasher stopped working earlier this week so I called the number that was on my policy to report the claim. Johns appliance repair fixed it yesterday.
My neighbor just had a serious backup with her plumbing a few weeks ago. I had one last year and it cost me close to five hundred dollars to snake everything. Just saw my neighbor this week and asked how she got everything fixed so fast. She said she had American home warranty for years and recommended that I sign up with them. Bryan told me if I had that issue in the future they will take care of it for me.
Just called to file my first claim today. Jason was very helpful in taking my information and Getting someone to come out today.
I just had to use my warranty for the first time earlier this week. My dishwasher wasn’t cleaning any of the dishes. I called to file a claim with Robert who set up the appointment for the technician to come out. Alex from all about appliance repair came out the next day and got it up and running right away. Can’t believe it was this easy. The last time it broke I had to call about a hundred different companies to come out. The one that came out that time was 5 days after I called them. This plan was Definitely worth the price. My dad always used to say there is no price you can pay to have peace of mind.
Let me start off by saying, if I could give negative stars for AHG, I would. Having to deal with AHG has been by far the worse experience than any other company service I have dealt with in the past. I just signed up with AHG in Nov2017, a few months have gone by, at around the end of March2018, I went online to file a claim, about a week had past, heard nothing, I called and called and called, finally got ahold of someone, had no record of me filing a claim, entered in my information for service, but kept telling me I can call a local service tech myself and just give AHG their information.
