I got this insurance back in September and found out I had cancer in Dec. Our cruise was in May and my flight was on May 13th. My last Chemo was on May 4th. My doctor filled out all the forms stating I would be too weak to travel and sent it in. this was going on for months back and forth with them. They decided that it wasn't a good enough excuse and never refunded my money. I will never get this insurance again. What a ripoff. I hope they are very happy with themselves. And after spending $2500 in Dec and again in January I couldn't afford to go anyway. Lucky the cruise company refunded my cruise fare right away. But be advised Not to take out this insurance.
I will never use this company again! I had a totally legitimate claim on the rent I had paid for one week at a cottage in Maine, but had had to cancel due to an injury I sustained during a "simple" surgery. CSA denied my claim, on the grounds of my injury being a "pre-existing condition". I would warn other people to stay away from CSA -- I've now wasted $100 on the insurance I bought from them, on top of losing the full $1300 I had paid to rent the cottage.
Bought CSA last year for Mexico and would use again. CSA paid our claim quickly.
