Do not waist your money. We had a policy to cover damage on a VRBO. The owner of the property kept most of the damage deposit and said that he did not know a thing about the policy. We bought the policy on the VRBO web site when we booked the property. I can not get the owner to furnish all the necessary invoices. When I call CSA they take for ever to answer the phone and just give me the run around. They do not return phone calls and hope that I will just give up. Why buy a policy if you have to take the landlord to court to file a claim?

Rip off artists of the travel policy business. Take a person's money then call it insurance, Ha Ha what a joke! Just try and file an honest claim and you get a reason why they will not pay a claim, just becomes an outrageous paper chase. The suckers who unfortunately did not read these consumer reviews and pay good money thinking they are covered will get an unpleasant surprise if a claim is made. They make sure there are enough loopholes in policies it's like swiss cheese; a consumer finds out the hard way. They should be banned from selling their insurance scams in the USA. Shut the dogs down!!!

BEWARE Consumers! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS INSURANCE COMPANY. I wouldn't recommend you buying ANY travel or other insurance from this company. They will find all kinds of reasons why they can't pay a claim. Don't waste your money on buying a policy from these people; it's totally useless. You'll just be lining their pockets!! Their travel insurance is such a scam!

SCAM. I recommend not using. They will not honor their insurance and this is a complete scam.

The insurance is essentially a scam. My father has had cancer twice and gone through treatments two different times. He was provided a letter from his doctor stating he should not travel because he was a much higher health risk if he contracted Covid-19. He cancelled his trip and provided the doctor's letter to CSA. However, they denied his claim since he was not sick with cancer at the time he took out the policy, nor did he actually contract Covid-19 during the policy period. What is the insurance actually good for?

I disagree with this rating. When booking a VRBO place, do not include CSA Travel Protection Insurance. Right now it is hard to think about traveling given the pandemic we are in but my husband, daughter and I decided to book a week long vacation after not traveling for almost a year. We thought we would be safe and add this insurance. Well the fires hit California making our intended places of travel a horrible place to be in - close proximity to fires and evacuated areas, poor and unhealthy air qualities (I am pregnant and my daughter is 2 years old), and recommendations by both areas to stay indoors where AC was not available and heat was at an extreme high. CA was in a state of... Read More

This Company is A Rip. They will find any reason to not pay a Claim. I mean what is the point to have insurance for a Hurricane 6 months in Advance before a trip.. Here is their response to my claim "The effective date of your policy is 09/18/20, and Hurricane Sally was named a hurricane on 9/14/20. As the hurricane was named prior to the policy effective date, and was reasonably foreseeable, no benefits are payable for your claim" Look these guys up. All Bad Reviews

What a ripoff from CSA Travel Protection. My wife was laid off before the beginning of our vacation. A big wage difference so we cancelled the vacation. CSA's Covered Events #11 "Your layoff...," covers my wife's layoff. The CSA reps say no. Never, never deal with CSA.

Worst travel insurance company ever! I was forced to cancel my trip due to Covid-19 and several very high risk family members. It took over a month to get a response to my claim. They finally sent me an email denying my claim. They stated that anything related to Covid-19 including quarantine or gov't restrictions, cancellation of flights etc are NOT covered. Why have travel insurance? Companies like this should not be in business!

I agree 100% with the comment posted by v.m.cardona1085. CSA requires such an extent of uploaded documentation that they make it not even worth your time and effort to try to complete a claim. Furthermore, they do not answer their phones or reply to emails. You will be left on hold for so long that you hang up. They give the same tired excuse in their automated statement about experiencing a high volume of claims, etc, etc. I gave them a nasty review of Pissed Consumer and got another predictable response telling me to go to a specific email address where I could contact a claim supervisor for assistance. This is nothing more than a smokescreen for public consumption to make it appear as... Read More
