Absolutely do not buy this insurance! Consumers need to organize against CSA and the company, HomeAway, that uses them as their associated partner. They do not honor their contracts and as other reviews indicate they have failed to work with customers who have had to cancel their travel plans due to COVID-19. I am attempting to appeal their decision to reimburse us for a home that we hoped to rent in September. I am working through my credit card company to appeal their decision that the virus was a "forseeable event" despite the fact that our reservation was made a month before the Trump administration declared it a national emergency. This is an absolute waste of money. I'm an ER physician during a pandemic and could not get my trip cancellation reimbursed, which was to transpire in April 2020. Run fast from this company, you are better off throwing your money in the toilet.

I always buy travel insurance with us being military. I will NEVER go through CSA again. Had to cancel plans due spike in COVID and were told we couldn't go. I was told because this was a "foreseeable" situation I would not be getting any of my refund back. I have only had to cancel plans twice in 26 years and both times I was not asked any questions and was given back my money. I have no rating for them what so ever! And you couldn't even get a person on the phone it was all done through email.

Poor customer service, over 3 months with my cancel request sitting in "Submitted" status, misleading, as it covered quarantine, but added other verbiage to exclude state order shuts downs. Called several times, and only received a recording that hung up, without any proper options to reach anyone. I would give them ZERO if I could.

I bought travel insurance to cover airfare. With the shut down of travel out of the United States due to the virus, I filed a claim with CSA at the beginning of May 2020. I received a request reference number with the instructions that I would hear back from them within 10 business days. Well it is the beginning of July and I have had nothing but boilerplate emails responses to my email inquiries. Under these circumstances, I would not recommend purchasing any travel insurance from this company.

dont buy Travel Insurence from them. I just wanted to call and cancel even that was an Issue becouse no one answers the phone. Read below.Purchased a travel protaction plan from does scam bags on June 24 for my trip to Latvia. After coming to Airport on June 30 I was informed that I want be able to Travel to Latvia becouse Europen Union closed the borders for USA pasport holders so the airline Issued a refund no issue there. I tried to call this assholes at CSA to cancel my travel plan and after calling two times and waiting on the line for 28 min no one picked up the phone and they provided email address to write complaint I wrote and no responce and no one replied. We rented a home in East Nashville during the month of June, but due to the tornado in March, the house was significantly damaged as well as the neighborhood. I submitted all of the documents for a refund. We booked thru Homeaway and the booking agent for the house was Evolve Vacation rentals. CSA kept asking for the homeowner information to substantiate my claims, Evolve would not provide them the homeowner information but stated that the house was damaged and did not meet their standards. CSA is the absolute worst. My wife and I had a cruise planned for June 8. All cruises are cancelled. No ships are sailing in the USA. Carnival give us a full refund. We purchase the travel insurance for the flights to San Francisco. Once Carnival cancelled we worked to get the money backs for our flights. CSA didn't even try and honor the policy. We was told that Covid is not a valid reason for a refund. since we purchased the policy in January they claimed we should have know better. What the Hell !!! Very poor service. I submitted a claim in the first week of January. All paperwork was submitted in full, accurate, and timely. We are now in the month of June. No one has responded. I have inquired many times by phone (unable to speak to a live person) and by email about the status. No response. I am feeling as though I have been hoodwinked and bamboozled out of the money that I paid for the insurance... not a good feeling. The rating should be a negative (-1) star! I'm pissed off to the highest level of pisstivity!!!

Where to begin!!! DO NOT EVER PURCHASE TRAVEL INSURANCE WITH THIS COMPANY OR YOU WILL REGRET IT!! Started calling March 24 to ask about filing a claim. Have made unlimited calls but was placed on a 1 -2 hour hold each time. I wanted to talk to someone about a claim but NEVER HEARD from anyone. I did get an e mail sometime in April saying CSA would get back to me and even had a "claim" number in the e mail even though I had NEVER even filed one as I wanted to speak to a live person first.
