ServicePlus offers two types of plans: Gold and Platinum. Both of these have a series of optional add-ons, such as pools, spas, central vacuum, limited roof leaks, and septic systems, to name a few. Their pre-packaged plans can therefore be expanded to suit every homeowner's needs. No home inspection is required to purchase a policy. Appliance and system coverage is guaranteed regardless of age, make, or model. However, maintenance records are required for service and the company has a pre-existing condition policy which is unusual in the industry and may limit coverage.

For a single-family home in a small midwestern city, ServicePlus' Gold Plan premium is $569. The company's Platinum plan for the same home runs $649. Cancellation Policy

You may cancel this Agreement within the first thirty (30) days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees, less any service costs incurred by us. If this Agreement is canceled after thirty (30) days, you shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by us. If we have provided services and the amount of the service costs incurred by us is greater than the contract fees paid, then no refund will be due to you.

Whatever you do, DO NOT use this company. They refused my claim for a water heater because there was a small leak from the tank and in the fine print of their contract they do not cover the tank. THERE WAS NO HOT WATER!! It was obviously broken. They told my son to go ahead and have it fixed and we would be reimbursed. 17 days later they notified me they were denying the claim. When I notified the service department that I wanted to cancel this non-service, I was belittled and told that I had a contract, and used the analogy that I could not break it because it was like "buying a car and deciding a month later you didn't like the color". I wish there was a zero star rating. My comments are the same as the rest of the low rating reviews. Waiting for months for the “goodwill” checks (another name for we won’t fix the appliance). The best part of the “goodwill” checks is when the policy expires and I haven’t received the checks, I lose them. Great business plan. In summary, DO NOT USE THIS OUTFIT. YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED AND OUT THE COST OF THEIR NON-SERVICE PKAN.

Beware of Service Plus Home Warranty. This company does not take the consumer's needs seriously. I had them for 14 months and never had to use their services until 2 weeks ago. My A/C began to blow hot air, so I filed a claim. Their policy is that a technician would call me within 48 hours to trouble shot the issue and get the system working. No one called me, so I decided to use a company via Service Plus Home Warranty contact your own technician policy. The technician found there was a leak coming out of the evaporator coil, so he called Service Plus Home Warranty's authorization Dept. and spoke to a gentleman named Edgar. Service Plus scammed a 79 year old widow out of $1,197 for a three year contract where they refused to service a washer then refused to refund 18 months of the contract. It is an absolute scam of a service and would give it negative stars if I could. The manager refused to give contact details for the complaint department or CEO information. He then sent a cancellation of the contract without the proper refund. SERVICE PLUS is an absolute SCAM of a company. DO NOT WASTE your money.

I have not received reimbursement for services rendered in July. ServicePlus did not have a technician in the area to repair my air conditioner. I paid $470.00 out of pocket. Submitted the invoice and was told ServicePlus will only reimburse me $300.00. I am still waiting for that check. No one at ServicePlus can give me a straight answer why I have not been reimbursed. My sales representative Tim Dill denies selling me the policy. Yet I have his direct contact information. Do not do business with this company. Rating should be 0 stars.
