ServicePlus offers two types of plans: Gold and Platinum.

Both of these have a series of optional add-ons, such as pools, spas, central vacuum, limited roof leaks, and septic systems, to name a few. Their pre-packaged plans can therefore be expanded to suit every homeowner's needs.

No home inspection is required to purchase a policy. Appliance and system coverage is guaranteed regardless of age, make, or model. However, maintenance records are required for service and the company has a pre-existing condition policy which is unusual in the industry and may limit coverage.

For a single-family home in a small midwestern city, ServicePlus' Gold Plan premium is $569. The company's Platinum plan for the same home runs $649. An annual contract is required for both plans and premiums must be paid on an annual basis.

Cancellation Policy

You may cancel this Agreement within the first thirty (30) days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees, less any service costs incurred by us.

If this Agreement is canceled after thirty (30) days, you shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by us.

If we have provided services and the amount of the service costs incurred by us is greater than the contract fees paid, then no refund will be due to you.

I am writing this review as I am on hold calling this company for my existing claim filed 4 days back. They did not assign any technician for the leak in my bathroom even after promise of 24-48 hrs turn around. Now, as I call them; they simply put me on hold and never answer back! Worse kind of service after buying it for 6 yrs in advance... yes, all due to high pressure sales pitch. Waste of money. I was told, I can cancel anytime and still receive pro-rated money back for years I do not use. But, now I am stuck and they never answer my calls for any claims or to cancel my policy. We never actually had this service. I bought it one day and cancelled it the next. Like other home warranty companies, they use high-pressure sales methods and offer a better deal every time you say no thank you. My complaint: After verbally agreeing to buy a warranty, my credit card was charged within minutes. We never officially signed a contract. But after 5 weeks of increasingly strong demands, they never returned our money. Fortunately, we'd paid with a Citi credit card; Citi refunded us in two days.

Not worth the money, If you need service it is a 24-48 hour wait until someone is assigned then if the problem cannot be resolved by the one assigned then you will have to wait again for a different assignee. The technician that showed up to correct the problem had tools were not up to date to do the job. (kitchen sink stoppage) I still had to pay a service call although there was no service and wait for a reassignment. I will not renew this contract and if I contract with another service I will read all the exclusions and reimbursement policies during the waiting period. Today I spoke with Tim at Service Plus Home Warranty . I do not usually purchase things when it is first presented to me. But I must say not only did Tim answer all my questions, but I could clearly understand him. He was friendly, not pushy, informative, but did not overload me with information I did not need or want just trying to impress me, by doing so, he did make an impression on me. The reason that service plus has a lot of customers is because it was total home protection and they changed their name. We were one of their contractors that they never paid. They owe us a good bit of money. If you read the reviews it seems like they run through contractors and never pay them then file bankruptcy and change their name. They even called us to do more work for them and got mad when we said no.

New to this company but the sakes rep was pleasant and explained everything well. Have a condo so got discounts because I don't have central heat/air or roof. Also explained that if/when I move, coverage goes with!
