Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

I paid over $5,000 for warranty plan on 5 properties to this company in December 2018. I spoke with an agent who told me hvac is covered without any question. When my heating unit went out this company denied my claim stating that I needed provide the maintenance record and that it was mis matched unit. When I requested to cancel, Executive Supervisor For VIP Platinum Division contacted me and negotiated to $1000 from $2700 cost for replacement. I should have cancel at that time but I didn’t. Put in a claim last night that our pool pump went out yesterday. Glad I paid for the extra protection and hopefully they understand the urgency of this matter. Hasn't been 24 hours yet so fingers crossed this happens quickly before the pool turns green. Customer service said he would put it in as a rush.

Pretty responsive. Contractors they use are, as expected, not the ones you would hire on your own, but most are at least competent.
