Cancellation Policy

Select reserves the right to cancel the service contract in the event of fraudulent conduct or misrepresentations by the customer, failure to make the required payments, or upon agreement.

The customer may cancel the agreement within 30 days from the order date of the agreement and will be entitled to a full refund only if no service has been provided under the contract.

After 30 days, the customer may receive a pro-rated refund for the non-discounted annual plan cost. The customer will be charged a $75 cancellation fee, plus any service expenses incurred by Select Home Warranty.

Last year I purchased their most recommended bronze plan for 3 years for almost $1000 and was told it would cover water heaters. The website also states that it covers water heaters. My water heater just went out and it will cost $1600 to replace it. The company took three weeks to get to a resolution and finally sent us an email saying that they will only reimburse us $175 for the new water heater because it is 12 years old (which is not that old for a water heater). The contract that they sent me AFTER we discussed coverage and paid for the warranty has fine print that says they will only pay depreciated value on ANYTHING. I took off from work in NOLA and waited for Suretec Appliance Repair of Slidell La and spoke to 2 service men stated they were on there way never arrived. Called their business number a recording. I was marked as unable to contact. SELECT har placed me back in another 48 hour wait to located a provider.

It has only been a few months since I signed up to use SHW. I have used them a couple of times so far. Each time they have arranged the repair service request and scheduled the appointment quickly. The repair company's reached out to me so fast! Within a few days a service person is at my home for the repairs. So far I am very satisfied with this company!

The claims agent that I talked to was very helpful and processed the claim very efficiently. I was contacted by the contractor that was accepted the claim within a few hours and the appointment for the technician to confirm the repairs needed was set up for the next day. I was very satisfied with the fast and friendly service provided so far.

I have had this warranty for a couple of years i submitted a claim my hot water tank has my floor soak and wet the tray isn't draining and they tell me it is not covered and to call a plumber so I am not happy. So I will be taking my service to another company.

48 hrs to have a "claim", as they call it, addressed!!!! All I want is someone to come out ASAP to fix my a/c. Brochure says 24/7 "because breakdowns don't happen at convenient times" BS!!!! If I could rate no stars I would.

I am beyond frustrated with this company. I paid for a 6 year policy upfront; fully paid! In the 2 years and 1 month that I have had the policy, they have denied all 3 of my claims. The customer service is very unprofessional. I cancelled my policy yesterday. When I called them today to check on the status of my refund, they stated that my refund will only be a small amount($250) because I cancelled the policy. They also stated today that they paid $150 to my local AC company. This was false. This company is only interested in getting your money. They made almost $1700 from me, and never did a thing. I strongly do NOT recommend this company.
