Home Service Club’s base-level 12 month home warranties start with a minimum annual premium of $400. Coverage is not dependent on a home inspection, and this price point is slightly on the higher side of the industry standard. With that in mind, they do offer a 30 day pro-rated cancellation policy, minus a $45 dollar administration fee.

Cancellation Policy

The customer may cancel the HSC service agreement for any reason within the first thirty 30 days following the date of purchase and shall be entitled to a refund of the paid contract fees less any service costs incurred by HSC and an administrative fee of up to $45. After 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fees for the unexpired term, less any service costs and an administrative fee of up to $45. This contract may be canceled by HSC for nonpayment of contract fee, fraud or misrepresentation by the customer, by agreement between client and company, or if the customer threatens to harm or does harm the safety or well-being of HSC, their property, employees or contractors. HSC may cancel the contract without reason at any time in the first 30 days following its effective date. If HSC cancels the contract within the first 30 days, the customer will not be charged an administrative fee and shall be entitled to a refund of the paid contract fees less any service costs incurred. If HSC cancels the contract after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fees for the unexpired term, less any service costs and an administrative fee of up to $45.

We sent three letters on hold forever and no response. Y ou stated you pay to replace an appliance. With all the call backs after being on hold and pressing #5 never happend please send the check that you stated, which isn't no where the cost to replace my item.

First, they do require an inspection report for coverage. SEecond, a pinhole leak that somehow developed in my refrigerator was NOT covered because they don't cover "cracks" in appliances. AND the guy they sent out actually made the leak worse. Terrible experience, shady company, AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.

This company is a scam and their reviews are as well. I purchased the most fully covered and expensive warranty 6 months ago and have not needed it until now. I had an oven that had issues, after a month of waiting they finally sent a provider who did a great job assessing the situation and promptly arrived. He corresponded with HSC about the parts needed to fix the appliance and they called back saying that the parts cost too much to repair based on the age of the appliance and were offering me $200 to put towards a new one. However, a new similar oven was $2200 and the provider had quoted the repair at $400 so I requested the repair instead. They have since told me they weren't going to... Read More

This home warranty company is a complete waste of money they do not comply with any of our issues they always have a reason and a excuse to not to cover our needs. Plumbing issues and our heater and ac went out they didn’t cover the repairs so we had to come out of pocket. Please don't get this company or agree to anything with them. We spent 500 for nothing they took our money and they decline everything we try having fixed or repaired or replaced. Multi ppl and technicians have said stay away from this company. They change names if they get to many bad reviews just to keep taking your money.

When our heat went out a few months ago, they wouldn't fix it, said it was too old, we needed a new one. After many many calls and messages to them, which were not answered for days, I wrote a bad review. They DID call after that, said they were rated number one. Well I found out why. They said if I didn't remove the bad reviews, they would not do anything for us. So I had to removed the reviews and after that, they did pay $1000.00 toward a new one. I would never recommend them to anyone, and have called all realtors in our area to let them now what happened, and to not recommend them to anyone. We are sorry if you are misunderstanding what the home warranty is and that you are not happy with our product. HSC has done nothing wrong and has gone above our contractual obligations. Our records indicate that your unit had noncovered failures and we offered to pay 1,000 dollars, towards the replacement, which is half of the contractual obligation for something that is not subject for coverage. It is important to note that the repair option if subject for coverage, which was not recommended by the technician, as the repair was to only further diagnosis and based off of the age was not cost-effective, would have been far less then what we offered to payout. We are an honest company that stands behind our contract. It is important to note that we do not provide negotiation or courtesy offer services, we upfront in good faith offered to be of assistance, because we want to help our customers. Again, we are sorry if you are misunderstanding our product and coverages. Please do not buy home warranty from them. It is useless. Please save that money to spend if anything goes wrong. Few months back, we had some issue and they did not take care of it. Once I wrote a bad review, they responded immediately and took care of the issue and even asked me to take down my review. So I just ignored it since they took care of the issue. It has been almost a year, now I had reported another issue with my appliance. In the first place, you have wait for at least half hour on the phone every time to get hold of someone to talk to. and secondly, they have worst set of technicians working for them. They came through for me on a claim, luckily it was just a misunderstanding and everything is all good. Great warranty service that keeps its words. I wish I read these reviews before signing up with this company. Don't sign up with this company. This company is a scam, they collect premiums and deny all claims . I took a big hit and cancelled my contract with them. Please believe these reviews and don't buy home service warranty from this company, if you do you are just wasting money and nothing will be covered. I just complained it to my state insurance commissioner and others who got cheated by this scam company please complain.

I cancelled my membership with this company after catching them in lies and not getting claims resolved. Now a Sophia keeps calling me and promising to refund me what I paid thus far in membership IF I go and mark the poor reviews I left earlier as "resolved". I am sorry if this is not bribery, I don't know what is. She is saying that I have to do this BEFORE she can get an approval to refund me my money, otherwise the underwriting dept will not approve it due to a poor review unresolved. Unbelievable! What a disgrace! Do not get involved!

Total waste of money. Stalled me for 2 weeks after my refrigerator started to go bad. I finally had to buy a new one because I could not get anyone to look at the malfunctioning refrigerator. The home warranty was useless.
