Home Service Club’s base-level 12 month home warranties start with a minimum annual premium of $400. Coverage is not dependent on a home inspection, and this price point is slightly on the higher side of the industry standard. With that in mind, they do offer a 30 day pro-rated cancellation policy, minus a $45 dollar administration fee.

Cancellation Policy

The customer may cancel the HSC service agreement for any reason within the first thirty 30 days following the date of purchase and shall be entitled to a refund of the paid contract fees less any service costs incurred by HSC and an administrative fee of up to $45. After 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fees for the unexpired term, less any service costs and an administrative fee of up to $45. This contract may be canceled by HSC for nonpayment of contract fee, fraud or misrepresentation by the customer, by agreement between client and company, or if the customer threatens to harm or does harm the safety or well-being of HSC, their property, employees or contractors. HSC may cancel the contract without reason at any time in the first 30 days following its effective date. If HSC cancels the contract within the first 30 days, the customer will not be charged an administrative fee and shall be entitled to a refund of the paid contract fees less any service costs incurred. If HSC cancels the contract after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fees for the unexpired term, less any service costs and an administrative fee of up to $45.

FRAUD ALERT!!! Similar to other reviews here, HSC is a complete sham and I have no clue how they have so many positive reviews without buying them. I placed a claim for my AC unit over 6 weeks ago. After a few days of no response, and sending 2 emails I received a call back asking if there was a technician I wanted to work with. I provided the contact information for a company I've used before and then I never hear back. After a week of calling I was told a tech was assigned, albeit not the one I suggested, who is currently within their network of approved contractors, and I would have a $65 service fee. A storm was approaching and my daughter noticed the leak in the roof. I'm so thankful that it was repaired before the house got flooded. I would be terrified and helpless because my husband left me! I need this house to be in tiptop shape more than ever.

Do NOT do business with these people. They are complete crooks and do not abide by their contracts! Our air conditioner condensor coil had some leaks which developed and they dispatched their contractor who advised in fact the unit was leaking and should be replaced. He said it was normal wear and tear (which is covered in their contract) and that we should proceed with our claim. When they received the claim, they claimed it was "physical damage" which is NOT covered under their warranty. THE WORST HOME WARRANTY COMPANY OUT THERE. WE SIGNED UP IN MAY RECENTLY HAD AN ISSUE AND THEY GAVE US A RUN AROUND. FIRST OF ALL THEY NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE AND SECONDLY THEY NEVER CALL BACK ON THE SAME DAY. ONCED I GOT A HOLD OF THEM, THEY JUST DENIED THE CLAIM EVEN AFTER THE TECHNICIAN TOLD THEM THAT ITS'T NOT THE ISSUE FOR WHICH THEY DENIED OUR CASE. Horrible service. Three weeks after filing a claim for my refrigerator we were still without even an appointment for the initial inspection to see what was wrong. Not once did a technician come out. HSC was impossible to get a hold of on the phone. After three weeks of no refrigerator, poor communication and no repair in sight I ended up having to pay out of pocket for the repair myself. When I tried to cancel the contract for lack of service I was charged an addition $45 as an "administration cancellation fee". Definitely do not recommend HSC.

I had to use my HSC Warranty for the first time for an issue with our electrical wiring. I am very satisfied with the work they did. The repairman was erly, polite, and quickly worked on the problem!

The plumber who came out to repair our shower was very prepared and polite. He had all types of wrenches, some I've never even seen before in my life. He was efficient and diagnosed the problem easily.

Home Service Club has been very quick to respond anytime I have called with an issue with any of my five rental properties I have covered by them. I don’t know if I am just so unlucky with appliances but kid you not, on all my five properties, there is always a defect with any one of its major appliances. It always concerns the HVAC systems as well which kind of frustrates me since it takes so much money for the repairs. I didn’t know if I had enough budget for these issues.
