Choice Home Warranty is a New Jersey-based company founded in 2008 which offers services contracts. Their plans offer protection against the cost of repair or replacement of major systems and appliances in the home via several plans. Each plan also offers optional coverage for septic systems, pools /spas, well pumps, sump pumps, central vacuuming systems, limited roof leaks, second refrigerators, and standalone freezers.

Be careful, they don't cover water heater tanks or dampers on your heating or AC systems.
Worst home warranty. I got it last year. First of all customer service is so poor that you have to wait for half an hour to speak to someone. When ever you place a claim you will find out that it is not covered by warranty. It is useless warranty. I will not recommend any one to buy it. - Khalid Aziz MD
I would not trust this company. I was with them for a year and when I signed up I was told I had the best plan you could get. When my hot water heater went out they lied to me and told me I didn't have the plan that covered that. If they can't fix it and it needs replacing, then you're out of luck.
We recently filed a claim for our air conditioning unit. It is not cooling and a contractor was dispatched and arrived quickly. They informed us that we would need a new condensing coil and possibly a new system. He took all the information and was told we would be contacted by Choice. In the past three days, I have received a call from Choice and when answering, I was placed on hold waiting for a representative. Each time, after 20 – 25 minutes, the call was terminated by Choice. I phoned back and the same thing happened. We are having a hard time with this company. We have a claim in now. hopefully it will cover. We have a spa Go out does not cover it because it is in our floor not in the ground. We paid 2 years for this coverage and found out waste of money. Got reimbursed $40 and they will not reimburse for the full two years. Had a Air condition go out does not cover. We have a claim in now with our water pump. I had to find our own company because we had to wait all weekend and still they did not have someone. A little more than a year ago I switched to choice home warranty to cover warranty for my home. As per their offer, I paid for 5 years warranty in advance. Until last week I used them only once for a very small issue. Last Thursday reported lack of cooling (claim #57134237) and they sent someone to check. There was no Freon in the AC unit, so they asked me to do Leak check at my cost, as they did not cover this. I got it done from their technician and paid for it. The findings were that evaporation coil is leaking and needs to be replaced. Now they are telling me they won't cover this. this company is bad news. avoid them like the plague. I have called several times for problems. I paid $45 service call each time. NO work was ever done. No follow up apt to do work was ever made. NO follow up from Choice warranty regarding work done to my satisfaction no follow up. nothing EVER completed. made many calls to no avail. I am out money and they have NEVER fixed a thing or shown up again. no communication form Choice Warranty or their vendors. waste of money. refused to refund me for service calls paid. they said 'they are visits'. Choice sent the Wire Nutz team out to fix my thermostat brcause the old one burnt out. They were very professional and fast while setting my mind at ease. Thank you Choice Warranty for having such great service!
WORST HOME WARRANTY EVER!!! I have been extremely disappointed in the service and loyalty of this company. They are definitely NOT interested in customer service and assisting with home problems. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. We have had 2 TERRIBLE experiences with this company. Canceled and will NEVER USE AGAIN!
I had technicians come out today & they took care of 2 service calls. The techs were so nice. I'm glad I made the decision to sign up with CHW. I'm very happy w/ that choice.
