Choice Home Warranty offers existing homeowners two plans, each of which cover a mix of systems and appliances. The primary difference between its Total plan and its Basic plan is that refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioning systems are not included in the Basic Plan. Optional coverage for such items as pools and spas, well pumps, and septic systems is available for an additional fee. We requested a quote for a single family home of less than 5000 square feet in a small midwestern city. The premium for Choice Home Warranty's Basic was $47.85 per month and the premium for its Total pan was $54.95 per month. With the cost difference between the two plans being only about $7 per month, to our mind, the Total plan a better value overall because it includes coverage for three of the most common appliances: refrigerators, washers, and dryers. It also includes coverage for air conditioning systems.

The company's co-pay for a service call is $85, slightly less than most comparable companies. The co-pay may be reduced further with special discounts and promotions.

Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company.

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a home warranty company. What joke from the time of contact until we were sick of being put off. They left us with an active water leak for over 3 weeks. We been put on hold time and time again as well as hung up on when we asked to cancel our policy. Wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy.

My furnace was reported out Dec. 6. My first appointment was to be on the 18th, which was unacceptable. I had to complain and got a new appointment for the 10th, which was still 5 days later. Repair was covered, which I appreciate, but won't be completed, until the 12th. Luckily, they were able to give me temporary heat, on the 10th.

They found a plumber and approved fast which was Eddyson plumbing. They was here with the issue fixed the very next day. Had another issue with garage door filed a claim a week ago and im still waiting.

Choice has helped us repair several things in our home. We've had appliance service, electrical, and HVAC thus far, and the technicians we have been assigned were great. It generally takes 24 hours to get your ticket assigned and most times we have only had a 2-3 day wait for service, which has worked out fine, as they were not emergencies. This has saved us a good amount of money on costly repairs that otherwise would have been expensive to deal with. Parts were covered, and all we paid was the service fee. For the year we've had Choice, it has definitely been a worthwhile investment.

It looks like y'all don't need a review. Because when you do a 2-point review it hits all five stars, automatically. Which gives the viewers a false rating of choice home warranty. Choice home warranty does not take calls, they only will call you back. But if your phone does not accept block calls, You will not be allowed to make your claim. Unless you use their website. And not everyone knows how to use the computer. So they do not serve all of our customers. Plus they claim that you have to make a up to front prepaid for the service. The 1st and 2nd technicians assigned to my claims were both very punctual and professional. They explained to me what the issue was and what caused the issue. I didn't like that I had to pay for two separate technicians to solve one problem because of a communicated error on my part (if I was a professional electrician myself enough to know how to properly put in my claim, I would have fixed the issue myself). But other than that, the technicians and CHOICE Home Warranty gave me excellent service!
