AFC Home Club’s hybrid policies cover many of the same systems and appliances as its competitors.

Notwithstanding the lack of included specialty items, a good benefit is their user friendly, every-item service cap of $1,500-$2,000. HVAC systems are subject to no coverage caps, which is a great addition for the company.

AFC Home Club only covers issues that arise after they begin providing service. Exclusions covered in the below link refer to AFC's Platinum plan, which is the most comprehensive.

Exclusions in other plans will be the same as Platinum covers all items one might find in other plans.

In addition to a personalized quote calculator and sample contract available on the website, a 30-day refund policy is guaranteed, as is a pro-rated version after that period.

Cancellation Policy

Customers can cancel the policy any time for any reason for a pro-rated refund. If AFC cancels a customer for non-payment, though, no refund is due.

New members may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid membership. After 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid membership fee, less any claims paid or time used in membership by CRAST, and a $75.00 cancellation fee.

AFC Home Club's service fees of $75, $100, and $125 keeps them competitive with comparable companies in the industry. Its 30 day waiting period is fairly standard.

AFC allows customers to work with out-of-network contractors of their choosing.

However, they do have to be licensed, bonded and insured. AFC only requires maintenance on HVAC systems in the first year of the contact.

Moreover, if a claim is filed before the 30-day waiting period has expired, the maximum payout amount is limited to $150.

Well this time the approval process and quick repair was excellent for my dryer. It was a vast improvement over the time it took to get the washer fixed and the communication issues between AFC and the repair service. 5 stars this time!

Seriously painful to deal with. Pushed me to find my own plumber because they couldn't source one... Then deducted $60 service fee from my reimbursement. The plumber I hired doesn't charge a service fee and I was told upfront that if my own guy doesn't charge a fee, the deduction would not apply. Pretty bad experience all around. No support in sending a resource and then later changing the pay structure to fit their interest.

I joined this company over a year ago and decided to reach out and submit my request for assistant. We as customers shouldn’t have to be in middle of payments to contracted provider. I was told when the technician arrived AFC was not a good company and payments to him were not made timely. After waiting a week for service with several changes on the technician behalf , cash payment was made to provider directly because he received several answering machines instead of talking to AFC Associates. The service request for the washer was less than desirable. The business, App Tech, that was sent by AFC would have had me replace a door seal on my washer when a water supply hose was the issue. The business chosen by AFC needs to be reviewed and considered for removal as the company states one thing to the customer while stating differently to AFC. The AFC representatives were very helpful in the process with App Tech and the second opinion company, Bell's Appliance, that identified the issue.

I split it to 50% 5 stars. AFC was great it was the appliance company I was not happy with. The appliance company NEVER called me during this whole process. I had to call them to set up the initial appointment, to let them know that the repair was approved by AFC, to see when the part was in, and to schedule the repair. The people I spoke with were nice and so was the repair guy, but I had to initiate everything. I waited days before having to call.

I regret purchasing home warranty from AFT, America’s 1st choice. The coverage is poor. I was told that I can prepaid 3 yr for a better price and cancel any time. When I was frustrated and want to cancel, I was told that they will deduct fees for previous claim from my prorated refund. That means the premium I paid for the prior period covers no service . This is very awful and misleading deal. I will no renew and will no recommend doing business with AFC. Stay away from them is my honest suggestion.

The company we left doesn’t compare to what you offer. The step by step process makes your company top notch. Getting a phone call prior to any work being done explaining everything that will happen is much different from other home warranty companies. We are 100% satisfied
