AFC Home Club’s hybrid policies cover many of the same systems and appliances as its competitors. Notwithstanding the lack of included specialty items, a good benefit is their user friendly, every-item service cap of $1,500-$2,000. AFC Home Club only covers issues that arise after they begin providing service. Exclusions covered in the below link refer to AFC's Platinum plan, which is the most comprehensive. AFC Home Club’s base-level contract’s annual premiums begin at $395. In addition to a personalized quote calculator and sample contract being available on the website, a 30-day refund policy is guaranteed, as is a pro-rated version after that period. Cancellation Policy

The membership shall be non-cancelable by CRAST except for nonpayment of membership fees or diagnostic fees, when a customer threatens to harm or does harm a CRAST Agent, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the client, or by agreement between company and client. There will be no refunds for memberships canceled due to non-payment. New members may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid membership. After 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid membership fee, less any claims paid or time used in membership by CRAST, and a $75.00 cancellation fee.

AFC Home Club's flat-rate service fee of $60 keeps them competitive with comparable companies in the industry. Its 30 day waiting period is fairly standard. AFC allows customers to work with out-of network contractors of thier choosing. However, they do have to be licensed, bonded and insured. AFC only requires maintenance on HVAC systems in the first year of the contact. Moreover, if a claim is filed before the 30-day waiting period has expired, the maximum payout amount is limited to $150.

If you don't mind giving away money and you sincerely don't expect anything in return. Then you have found the right company. I bought Home Warranty when I bought my new house for the peace of mind thinking if something happened it would be covered. WRONG they said since everything was covered under manufactory warranty (HVAC) they don't cover labor, leak checks, or parts, But will cover up to 25 dollars per pound. cost of Freon 40 dollars a lb. So for my warranty and piece of mind I got a discount on freon. I paid 700.00 for the tech to fix my leaking AC. I paid AFC home club 500.00 for membership. Do not use this company for your home warranty! Their customer service is the worst I've ever seen. Last year, our air conditioner went out... When it happened, I wasn't too surprised that we had a battle on our hands, just because you always hear the bad stories about warranty companies not wanting to cover large costs. Anyways, when ours went out, I contacted them and made the claim for our AC unit. Requesting service feels like I am doing all of the work when the 3rd party does not show up or are totally unaware a claim was made so the repair can take up to a week. They cover almost everything and the price is great however be warned that if any of your appliances are over 5 years old they many deny to repair them and offer you cash instead declaring the value of the appliance is zero. Seems strange since most appliances under 5 years of age do not need a warranty. Almost 45 days ago I bought my homeowner warranty from (AFC) AMERICA'S FIRST CHOICE HOME CLUB for my house that I bought it two months ago. Six days ago, I called them to file a clime for my AC unit that placed on the roof, but they said to sending any technician I had to provide my annual maintenance invoice, but I just bought this home two months ago that was my reason to buy the home protection, anyway fortunately before buying the house I had my inspection report that AC was in a working condition and I got a maintenance invoice form my realtor before closing the deal and I sent it to AFC. I have had an AFC Home Club plan for 6 months now and have had to use their services 3 times already unfortunately. Once for my dishwasher, another for my AC and a third time for a bathtub/faucet issue. Every time I have put a request in they have been quick to respond, schedule a technician and handle the problem without much stress. I am so very glad I am covered with my home club plan and plan to renew year after year to keep my home protected.
