Charged to cancel membership. Will tell you the furnace, air conditioning, and water heater are covered. However, the gas valves in gas furnace are not covered, and the water heater tank is not covered. Looks like the cheap things to fix are covered and major costs are not covered, which is why one would buy a membership
Response fairly good, parts ordered, but work is not done yet.

Tech showed up at residence without calling first. Was asked to return when I would be home. Did not know how AFC worked. Had to wait for a :OK: from AFC
Online service made it easy to submit repair requests. The respond speed to my request was fast. The customer service department worked diligently with me to resolve my repair request.
I never received my $99 reimbursement for the service that was provided at my home
America's 1st Choice is by far one of the worst home warranty companies. When an issue arises they are trained to repetitively apologize for your own 'misunderstanding' of what you've been told by other representatives. I paid for over 2 years for our above ground spa just to be told that it was not covered when i finally needed service. At the beginning of the contract I had to provide them with the make and model of the spa so they were well aware of it being an above ground spa. Although they refunded that portion we had paid they consider that apart of their overall payout on the contract rather than a reimbursement. We signed up for this plan and we were. It informed of all the details. Ok we paid for the repairs and have been waiting to be refunded for more than 15 days. When you call you get a different rep that tells you something different and to top it off I will be charged to cancel my contract, Highly disappointed!!!!

The turn around time for reimbursements is 2 weeks. Our records in indicate that you have received your reimbursement. Please contact us directly if that is not the case, thank you.
I was not pleased with this company which is why I canceled my contract. It was difficult for them to find service providers that would come to me and they did not communicate their challenges. I would have to find my own service provider and then hope to get reimbursed weeks later. Not a very good system. Perhaps they would be good if you lived in the territory where they have numerous providers.

The phone representative Kevin was very informative and helpful. I was told i would receive my welcome package within 10 to 14 days and i could cancel without penalty within 30 days. I did not receive my package after 20 days and called Kevin back. He tried to say maybe they had the wrong address, he checked and that was not it. I said i wanted to cancel my contract because it seems they are deceiving people and not sending information package till the 30 days are past. He tried to say they are just busy, witch was ridiculous because computers would probably be sending them out! He then offered to send the package by Email and did.
