AFC Home Club’s hybrid policies cover many of the same systems and appliances as its competitors. Notwithstanding the lack of included specialty items, a good benefit is their user friendly, every-item service cap of $1,500-$2,000. AFC Home Club’s base-level contract’s annual premiums begin at $395. In addition to a personalized quote calculator and sample contract being available on the website, a 30-day refund policy is guaranteed, as is a pro-rated version after that period. Cancellation Policy

The membership shall be non-cancelable by CRAST except for nonpayment of membership fees or diagnostic fees, when a customer threatens to harm or does harm a CRAST Agent, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the client, or by agreement between company and client. There will be no refunds for memberships canceled due to non-payment. New members may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid membership. After 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid membership fee, less any claims paid or time used in membership by CRAST, and a $75.00 cancellation fee.

AFC Home Club's flat-rate service fee of $60 keeps them competitive with comparable companies in the industry. Its 30 day waiting period is fairly standard. AFC allows customers to work with out-of network contractors of thier choosing. However, they do have to be licensed, bonded and insured. AFC only requires maintenance on HVAC systems in the first year of the contact. Moreover, if a claim is filed before the 30-day waiting period has expired, the maximum payout amount is limited to $150.

They never seem to cover anything that needs to be repaired. This is my third call to them and it started with them telling me what they won't pay for even before the technician has arrived. For the last 2 service requests they did not cover anything. Always some fine print with more exclusions than inclusions. I was told that if the control board in my dishwasher was they bad they won't replace it because they get wet......It's a dishwasher, every part should be able to withstand water. Can't wash dishes without water!

I talked to one of their sales rep in early March of 2017 and got a Home Warranty. Stressed to him that I wanted FULL coverage since I have a pool and lots of extra things to have covered. He went through a few items and got me set up. In April my microwave went out, filed a claim and they said I didn't have coverage of my microwave. He said he didn't tell me about it because most peoples microwaves are sitting on the counter and not very expensive (mine was a built in unit and cost $750 with install). FIRST BIG FAIL. We went over coverage again and he added my second refrigerator and said I was all covered. Next, in October had an issue with my Double oven. The cost is $1100 for a control... Read More

I was with another warranty company for about 8 years, but the premium and trade fee kept getting higher and higher, so we went shopping around for another company. We settled with AFC Home Club and our experience has been very good so far. On our first claim, we used our own contractor for the HVAC work. We paid the full price and AFC reimbursed us everything, minus the trade fee. The reimbursement took about 5 weeks. On our second claim, we let their system figure out who to send and it worked out well. We paid the trade fee and the contractor took care of the rest. I wished I would have read some of these reviews before purchasing from this home Club. Our dishwasher is not working properly. We called and paid the $60 for a diagnostic. Now they are telling me that the will only give me $122.22 to fixing or replacing my dishwasher. The depreciation bit was not mention on the phone. It was in my terms and condition that you received after buying the warranty.

terrible home warranty. stay away from this company. rarely will I ever speak negatively about a service/produce but this is the only leverage we have as consumers to make sure companies do their part. do not believe consumer advocate review. this company will not honor contract. can't get them to fix my refrigerator because they say its too old ?? where has anyone heard of that !! believe me. stay away.

we submitted a claim to repair our subzero refrigerator. took them 2 weeks to get someone there and now they are saying they will not pay the repair because the fridge is too old. this was not indicated anywhere in the contract nor were we explained any of this. This is not right and I am disappointed i left american home shield for this company based on Consumer Advocates online review and recommendation. STAY AWAY from this company. I rarely will rate a company negatively because there are always circumstances on both sides, but here it is a clear rip-off. Pls do yourself a favor and stay away! Policy # CLR -96007430
