Bay Alarm is very good. The only thing I do not like about it is that you cannot test your system out on a monthly basis. So I will know it's working is when there is an emergency and I call for help.
I have an elderly mother who fell twice. Breaking her hip once and her femur once. The second time she was alone and could not get a phone. I live 200 miles away. knowing that she now has Bay Alarm medical alert gives me so much more comfort. I still call daily but know that if she doesn't answer she will have help notified immediately. Thank you for easing the burden of caring for our elderly parents.
We ordered the Bay Alarm service for my mother-in-law in NY and we were happy with the service. When Bay Alarm came out with the "fall pendant" we upgraded her service with the fall pendant and, again, were pleased. We then ordered Bay Alarm for my parents in Massachusetts. We ordered the service with two fall pendants. Shortly after we got the service, the fall pendants were "recalled" and new fall pendants were provided. We "synced" the new fall pendants to the base and kept receiving automated calls from Bay Alarm saying that they were not receiving signals. We purchased Bay Alarm in January for my mother-in-law when my father-in-law was admitted to a nursing home for Alzheimer's. It was the first time that she would be left in her home while we work during the day and especially at night. She had fallen a few times and luckily we were around to find her and help her up. She couldn't even get herself over to a phone to call. So we knew we had to get her something where she would feel comfortable and we would know she could call for assistance if needed. This very affordable alarm system does everything as promised. I obtained it for my 92 year old aunt when her husband had to go into a nursing home. Set up was so easy! The operator was very courteous during the test call after set-up. After a month or so my aunt had a fall where she was wedged between her bed and the wall. She couldn't get up. She pushed the button on her necklace and the response team came promptly and assisted her. The lock box recommended was in place so they could easily enter her home without damaging the door. My mom has been using the Bay Alarm system for about a year now and she loves it. It is fast and efficient she hit the button by mistake a few times and the response time was almost immediately. Overall for the price and the security of my loved one it is more than worth the cost.
I have been with Bay Medical for one and one half years. I switched from another well know national service that had given me probloem after problem and I couldn't cancel the account as I had to sign a five year contract.
