Super is a subscription-based home repair and maintenance service. The company offers three plans starting at $64 per month. All plans include both appliances and systems. Customers have the option of customizing any plan to cover a wide range of home features, including pools and spas, well pumps, and duplicate appliances. Super is one of the more expensive services out there and its plan pricing and coverage limit structure is among the most complicated we've seen. For example, the price of any plan you choose will increase if you have a larger home because rates are established according to the area of your home. Even a careful reading of the company's sample contract leaves many questions unanswered. But the company doesn't limit the number of claims that you can make and some system coverage may be unlimited, depending on the plan you choose. In addition, by adding the It's Covered option to your plan, some appliance and system parts that other home warranty companies exclude are included.

Super offers three home warranty packages: the Security, Signature and Lux plans. The more you are willing to pay for a plan, the more appliances and systems are covered. Super helps and encourages customers to perform routine maintenance on their homes. Once you are an established customer, Super will send you updates when normal maintenance tasks should be performed throughout your home. Subscribers have the option of engaging one of Super's contractors to perform the work, with deductibles ranging from $75 to $149. Super also protects against unknown pre-existing conditions, which are often excluded from most home warranty contracts.

The minimum annual premium with Super is $449 annually. That price applies to homes under 1200 square feet in area and located in Arizona. Premiums for larger homes are higher, as they are for homes located in more expensive parts of the country. Other contract features are on par with competitive home warranties. You are not required to sign up for a full year of coverage, but if you sign an annual contract, you'll receive a discount off the monthly price. Super coverage for existing homes that are not on the market begins 15 days after you make your first payment. That's a somewhat shorter waiting period than some competitive plans offer. Super has a pretty standard cancellation clause. You can cancel within 30 days and receive a full refund, minus the cost of any repairs the company performed during the covered period. However, the company also charges a $50 cancellation fee.

Cancellation Policy

Agreement can be cancelled by you within thirty (30) days of the Plan Effective Date, and a full refund will be made. You may cancel this Agreement more than thirty (30) days after the Agreement effective date, and you shall be entitled to refund of the pro-rata Agreement charge less claims paid, any unpaid service fees, and a $50 administrative fee. Cancellation of this plan must be in writing.

Super makes it easy to submit claims by offering online, mobile, email, and telephone contact methods. Customers can submit an unlimited number of claims during a covered period, however the company places a cap on the dollar value of claims you can submit in a year. Coverage limits increase as you step up to Super's more expensive plans. Under no circumstances will the company be responsible for more than $30,000 in repairs, no matter which plan or upgrades you choose.

Super is a joke. I called to report my pool heater was not working, they said they could not have some come out to inspect it since everyone was busy. I had my own guy come out and he said it needed to be replaced due to wear and tear. Super rejected the claim and said it was too expensive. I had a second guy come out and he said heater needed to be replaced and gave a lower price. This time Super said it was rejecting the claim because it was a pre-existing condition. It was extremely difficult reaching anyone, had to call in tons of time. Bottom line- they will try not to cover any expensive repairs so that they never lose money on a policy. Stay away!

This is a terrible company. Stay away. The first time I called it was due to an AC leak in the attic. They sent someone out who looked at it and left. I had to hire someone to fix it. Still, they billed me $125. Amazing. I also bought extra coverage that covered my sprinkler system. When I called they were a week and a half getting someone to come look. When I call them they say it was hit by lightning, which it certainly wasn't. Even their service guy reported it was absolutely not lightning related. That was a week ago. Please do not buy this warranty. I made the mistake of purchasing for my new condo in Chicago. BIG MISTAKE. My HVAC system was having issues. Guy came out told me he didn't know what the problem was. Super sent somebody else out to look and they say they'll order the part. It's been two weeks and no response or communication from anyone. I call super to ask what the status is, they have no idea and direct me to call the guy directly. I didn't have his info so I call and the guy says he ordered the part but has no idea when it will come in. I called on 4/29 because my AC wasn’t cooling. A service tech came out a couple of days later to find out the problem. There’s a leak and I need to replace my unit. I wait and wait. No one calls. Now it will be over a month that I’ve been living in Texas with no AC with temps as high as 92 degrees. HelloSuper dropped the ball time and time again. Promises of callbacks that never happened. Placing the blame on the servicer not responding to their calls. And when I mentioned that maybe they should look into a different servicer they said they would. Again, no calls back. No follow up. I have had horrible experiences with Super over the past few visits. I have told them multiple times I cannot have a phone at my work and also my husband at best is sporadic in answering his phone and also the cell coverage is bad in our location. The last two visits they have been able to get the technician out to our home, despite the missed call, and requests to update a phone number. This last time (yesterday) my husband was off of work and waited all afternoon for the technician to call, they didn't call the number that rings all of our phones. Please don't use this company. The people the deal with is horrible, they ask you what works for you, then they do the opposite. This company takes your money and don't fix nothing. Come with all type of excuses on why they not fixing your stuff. So you waste $75 everytime you call them. When our year is up will not be using them again. Scam Scam Scam.

This company is a scam. Do not use! Use vague language in policy of not normal wear and tear to not cover items specifically stated in the contract. Provided inspection report showing it was working at the time of home purchase and all necessary maintenance documentation. They are still refusing to cover for the simple explanation of not normal wear and tear. In addition, they will never call me back to talk about the claim. Any updates they send via email outside of business hours so if I respond I get a generic email back to contact during business hours.

I love my Super Home Warranty! I am a Realtor in MD and wanted to research a few companies for my clients. I happened to speak with Dilyana. She thoroughly explained the program and benefits. I decided to get coverage for my own rental property. Low and behold my heat pump failed within a few months of getting it. Then midsummer the air conditioner stopped. It would have cost me $2200 if I hadn't had the warranty. They even gave me a huge discount on Freon; it's very expensive and it usually isn't covered in most home warranties.
