Home Service Club’s base-level 12 month home warranties start with a minimum annual premium of $400. Coverage is not dependent on a home inspection, and this price point is slightly on the higher side of the industry standard. With that in mind, they do offer a 30 day pro-rated cancellation policy, minus a $45 dollar administration fee.

Cancellation Policy

The customer may cancel the HSC service agreement for any reason within the first thirty 30 days following the date of purchase and shall be entitled to a refund of the paid contract fees less any service costs incurred by HSC and an administrative fee of up to $45. After 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fees for the unexpired term, less any service costs and an administrative fee of up to $45. This contract may be canceled by HSC for nonpayment of contract fee, fraud or misrepresentation by the customer, by agreement between client and company, or if the customer threatens to harm or does harm the safety or well-being of HSC, their property, employees or contractors. HSC may cancel the contract without reason at any time in the first 30 days following its effective date. If HSC cancels the contract within the first 30 days, the customer will not be charged an administrative fee and shall be entitled to a refund of the paid contract fees less any service costs incurred. If HSC cancels the contract after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fees for the unexpired term, less any service costs and an administrative fee of up to $45.

Huge thank you to Denise for staying later and making sure my claim was taken care of and my water heater was being delivered. Amazing help and follow through and our family is very thankful. Hot water is flowing and everybody is happy.

I filed an emergency claim with Home Service Club Warranty for a leaking hot water heater on June 3, 2016. Eight (8) phone calls and three (3) online request over four (4) days no one contacted me about repairing/replacing the hot water heater that was flooding the basement. The water heater was leaking into the basement during this ridiculousness. To date I still have not received any communication from Home Service Club Warranty or a plumbing company to make the emergency repairs. I ended up replacing the hot water, repairing all the water damage and mold myself. If you are considering using this company - you have been Warned!

Our twelve year furnace gave out way before its time and the part that went was under a twenty year warranty from the original manufacturer. The maintenance inspector who came to our house originally turned it off and deemed it a safety hazard and told us we cant turn it on at all because it releases carbon monoxide into our house. We've been with HSC for a few years now and always had pretty good experinces with them, but this was a very important situation with us not being able to use our furnace. replaced a brand new dishwasher for us. We did have to pay a little over the coverage approved but overall got a brand new maytag dishwasher and its beautiful. Would have been nice to not have to pay anything over but it is what it is it wasn't much and we are happy with it.

We just moved into our new home and had a few issues. The inspection company noted a bad air conditioner, bad electrical wiring, a faucet leak, and some outside and window issues. And then seller claimed to have repaired all and provided paperwork. Most of this was still there once we moved in. After speaking with the warranty company and learning that those issues are not their responsibilities we thought we were stuck. Denise helped us with everything! The air conditioner and the elecrtical and leaking faucet are all working fine now and their techs did a great job. We got it done for dirt cheap and Denise even got us covered for some of it!

Air conditioner serviced for the tird time this summer. Surprisingly it was a different problem each time. First time a man came out he replaced a capacitor and had to do some rewiring and it was covered. Second time he came out and had to add some refrigerant and perform a search to locate where it had leaked out from. It was covered but I did have to pay for some refrigerant. Third time he came out and had to replace a valve and do some welding or somthing which took some time. It was covered. Seems to be working fine now good service.

Beware! This warranty company will go out of it's way to not cover the cost for any work done for your home. I recently filed for service on my AC which has taken forever to get anything done. After they have a local company come out to your home (which was two different companies for me) for diagnosis of the problem you have to continue to wait for an answer for work to begin. THE ANSWER WILL BE IT IS A PREEXISTING ISSUE AND WILL NOT BE COVERED!!! This is the answer that was given to me and countless others. These guys are terrible. Avoid them. My issue came up with a well pump they refused to cover due to "pre-existing conditions". They couldn't actually tell me what those conditions were, nor would they let me talk to the person who said the condition was pre-existing. I spoke with the tech they sent out to inspect the pump and he stated they had never talked about any pre-existing condition, nor was there any way to tell when the pump started failing. Given they did not know the model or manufacturer of the pump there is no way they could also state that it was not functioning to "manufacturer's specifications". Nightmare situation helped greatly by Denise. Water backing up on bathtubs, toilets, leaking on the floor in numerous places and the plumber together with my help having trouble figuring it out. Ran a line from more than one access location and took hours before deciding to put a camera in there and see what was going on. Burst pipe in the back yard was found. Long story short I saved money on the huge job because of the really good tech that HSc sent out, and Denise covered 500 dollars of it fo rme on top of it. Cleaning the house after this whole mess with the tech helping but would have been much worse without him and without Denise.
