Home Service Club’s base-level 12 month home warranties start with a minimum annual premium of $400. Coverage is not dependent on a home inspection, and this price point is slightly on the higher side of the industry standard. With that in mind, they do offer a 30 day pro-rated cancellation policy, minus a $45 dollar administration fee.

Cancellation Policy

The customer may cancel the HSC service agreement for any reason within the first thirty 30 days following the date of purchase and shall be entitled to a refund of the paid contract fees less any service costs incurred by HSC and an administrative fee of up to $45. After 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fees for the unexpired term, less any service costs and an administrative fee of up to $45. This contract may be canceled by HSC for nonpayment of contract fee, fraud or misrepresentation by the customer, by agreement between client and company, or if the customer threatens to harm or does harm the safety or well-being of HSC, their property, employees or contractors. HSC may cancel the contract without reason at any time in the first 30 days following its effective date. If HSC cancels the contract within the first 30 days, the customer will not be charged an administrative fee and shall be entitled to a refund of the paid contract fees less any service costs incurred. If HSC cancels the contract after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fees for the unexpired term, less any service costs and an administrative fee of up to $45.

Do not use this company. Customer service is bad and everything is going to be pre existing. I do not know how this company got in the top 10. Maybe they were meant to be in the bottom 10. It took them a week to get someone out to check on my air and yes they fixed one part, they said it was a courtesy to us. But it still did not fix my air. So, now I am out $125 for service call, still a broke air conditioner. They do not cover Freon. And now everything is pre existing unless it's brand new, but I'm sure they will find away around that. Don't use them!!

We have nothing but great things to say about this company. Ray helped our prevous claim and Samantha did a fabulous job this time and really helped us in a time of frustration. We thought our regular mechanic who fills us up with cheap freon would be good but he turned out to be a nightmare and we are not calling him for maintenance any more. Samantha's mechanic was thoroughly more knowledgeable and did an amazing job. The result was exactly as he said it would be and the home service company covered everything.

I purchased a home warranty from HSC and paid extra for pool protection. When my pool pump went out, HSC sent a tech out to look at it. Lo and behold, the part of the pump that broke wasn't covered per the lengthy exclusion clause (in fine print) of the HSC contract due to the fact that the part that broke was "underground". A couple months later, within a few weeks of each other, both of my air conditioning units failed. HSC sent another one of their techs out to investigate the problems. Shockingly, HSC said they wouldn't cover EITHER unit due to a small amount of rust on them (the units are outside and are old). HSC's contract excludes coverage whenever rust is present (I called... Since I started with them about 3 and a half years back, I never stopped to write a review on the service though the truth is people should know the truth. This is the by far the most honest home warranty they are nice dealing with them but what sticks out to me is the honesty. Every time something goes wrong I think to myself are these guys going to be like all the other home warranty companies, and each time I get if not what I paid for then even more I believe this company deserves recognition for great and fast service but most importantly honesty.

They installed new water heater for us after it burst and started leaking. I am somewhat versed in the field and was able to tell them the specs and answers they needed to order a matching correct water heater and save on unnecessary service calls. The tank holding water had a visible burst in it which cannot be fixed. They delivered a new water heater and the same plumber from one of our previous claims came to install it. The new water heater works perfect.

I want to update my previous review of the home service club. There was a mistake in my address and that was the hold up. Once they discovered this there was no issues what so ever. Home Service Club jumped all over my problem with no questions asked. they went above and beyond to make sure i was satisfied. if you have had problems in the past please! give them another shot. So this is for our first experience with a claim. First claim ever with any home warranty. We are new to the idea of home warranties and have been paying our monthly bills and now our bathroom had a leak and a big puddle. We requested a plumber on the phone and a girl took all of our information and very confidently said she'll call us back soon. We missed a call and got a message from her telling us a plumber was set to our request. A man came out from a heating and cooling ocmpany we have used before and replaced the blower motor and capacitor and all we paid was our deductible instead of the $700 it costs, and in half an hour all was over. The system works fine and the man said it was in great condition and claim was over before I knew it.

For those of you that left a bad review on this site, I can only disagree in the strongest terms. I had been a subscriber to American Home Shield for 7 years at my last home. Most of the time when I called them, they wanted to deny the claim and weaseled out of everything they could. When I moved to my new house in 2013, I dumped AHS and researched all of the current home warranty services online, comparing prices, service, costs and user reviews. I settled on Home Service Club.
