Overall Rating: 3.8 / 5 (Very good)

Cinch Home Services has been around for many years and offers some of the most comprehensive home warranties in the industry. It's a little more difficult to compare its costs to competitors because service fees and plans can vary by region, but you can get a quote online to see what plans cost in your local area. Cinch home warranties offer one unique feature that sets the company apart from many competitors: a Homeowners Insurance Deductible Reimbursement. The company will reimburse you for up to $500 if you make a homeowners insurance claim for a covered item. That can ease the sting of having to pay a deductible on your claim. There are limitations attached to this feature and it is only included with Cinch's Complete plan, but it still represents a savings opportunity. As with any home warranty provider, make sure you read the sample contract first and ask the company about any questions you have so you don't have any unexpected surprises when you go to file a claim. Cinch’s contracts are easy to read and clearly outline what’s covered and what’s not.

Cinch Home Services offers a choice of three aptly named plans: the Appliances Plan, the Built-in Systems Plan, and the Complete Plan. You can craft a customized plan to suit your need by combining their standard plans' coverage with these options.

The absolute worst. ! I have been dealing with them in excess of 5mo to get our Fridge repaired. In order to trouble shot- last repairman discovered a short in the fridge drawer (by disconnecting drawer). Cinch has decided that the drawer is not essential & will not repair- since the fridge works fine without the drawer. I have left countless messages to try to speak to supervisor to no avail. No one calls back

Dont waste your time or money. Unreliable and scam system. They came out to fix my Kenmore refrigerator. Charged me a $75 deductible and technician only stayed in my house for 15 minutes. He said he needed to talk to the company about the repair. After he left, my ice maker stopped working and it started humming. it took the guy 7 days to submit his report, when it is suppose to be submitted in 24 hours. Company is definitely a JOKE and SCAMMERS.

A month later, still no AC in TX 6/12- I submitted a request that my AC was leaking. 6/18- they came out and said I needed a new drip pan. (rescheduled twice). 6/29- two tech came out to install the new drip pan and not even 15 mins after they left was the issue worse than before. I called them back immediately to come fix the issue. They taped up the job and said it was now a drainage issue and I would need a condensation pump. questioned on why there was a problem with the pipe if that was not the original issue and that the drip pan was. They then told me there was nothing else they could do for me. 7/1- I message support asking the status they told I should have received a... Read More

Worst company I have ever worked with. Couldn’t get a LG refrigerator repaired and I live in a big city with repairmen everywhere . Employees work out of their home and drop your call repeatedly. Cannot recommend.

Worst Company Ever!!!! How they stay in business is beyond me! We have paid over $8,000 in the last 20 years and recently put in two claims... We still have not received a DIME and are still fighting with them! During all the phone calls we found that they have been double billing us for the last 9 months! They did give us back the money double billed.... less $48 for a "processing fee"! are you kidding me??? They are great at taking you money, just don't expect to see anything back!

This is a scam! Do not purchase a home warranty from these people! I have been paying for my home warranty for years thinking that my air conditioning system was covered. Simply put, only parts of it are covered. Drain lines, motors, etc. are NOT covered. They would pay to replace my entire air conditioning condenser but will not pay to repair parts of it.

In this Texas heat we could not get an appointment for air conditioning repair for two weeks. Sears Home services came and determined that a part needed to be replaced and came back after another two weeks had passed. After installing the part, we paid the service technician. However, the unit was not working and we called the technician who said Cinch had to authorize a return visit, which was scheduled in two weeks. Two weeks passed and no one showed up. We called the service technician number was disconnected three times. After calling Cinch again, a different service technician was assigned. They determined that the unit needed to be replaced . The next day it was replaced and we... Read More

My air-conditioning system broke over two weeks ago and CINCH has yet to replace it. It took the service provider 4 days to check it and determine that it cannot be repaired. Since then, every time I call for an update, they give me the runaround and tell me to wait. My house had a temperature of over 85 degrees F, twice during this period and we work and study from home. This is miserable and CINCH says they care, but does nothing. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!! They don't care about their customers.

This company is terrible. We have been waiting on reimbursement for a refrigerator repair for 3 months and we have had a broken dishwasher for 46 days. All calls are forwarded to a call center that clearly has the goal to get you off the phone in the shortest time possible. Most of the call center workers are rude on the phone. I have called about 40 times for these two claims, and every time I am promised a call back in 24 to 48 hours. The call back NEVER happens. I called the corporate headquarters to try and report my issues to someone at a higher level than the call center, and the receptionist put me through to the regular call center number. I tried to find email... Read More
