Overall Rating: 3.8 / 5 (Very good)

Cinch Home Services has been around for many years and offers some of the most comprehensive home warranties in the industry. It's a little more difficult to compare its costs to competitors because service fees and plans can vary by region, but you can get a quote online to see what plans cost in your local area. Cinch home warranties offer one unique feature that sets the company apart from many competitors: a Homeowners Insurance Deductible Reimbursement. The company will reimburse you for up to $500 if you make a homeowners insurance claim for a covered item. That can ease the sting of having to pay a deductible on your claim. There are limitations attached to this feature and it is only included with Cinch's Complete plan, but it still represents a savings opportunity. As with any home warranty provider, make sure you read the sample contract first and ask the company about any questions you have so you don't have any unexpected surprises when you go to file a claim. Cinch’s contracts are easy to read and clearly outline what’s covered and what’s not.

You can craft a customized plan to suit your need by combining their standard plans' coverage with these options.

Cinch home warranty came with new house. Furnace broke, and I contacted the company on 12/20/21. They sent out a repair tech. Tech needed a capacitor and said Cinch had to order the part, and once it was shipped to him, he would be back to repair furnace. I was told part would be shipped within 2 to 5 days depending on holiday/covid delays. On 1/3/21 I contacted the company and was told the part had not shipped but it my case was being "escalated". To make a very long story short- day after day I contacted the company, finding that the company was still trying to locate the part. On 1/10/21, I contacted the company again. The customer service agent told me that the part had been located... Read More

This company is a fraud!!!!! Do not buy anything from them. I’m a professional licensed contractor and they only pay partially for things and not everything for problems. They pick and choose what they want to pay during a typical replacement of an appliance. Then they try to make the home owner pay the rest past their so called deductible. This company are scam artists. Take it from a real contractor. BEWARE!!!!!!

Summer 2021: We contacted a Cinch Home Services/Sears technician to repair our frig that could not hold the right temp. The tech made the repair and then sold us a Cinch policy for $50 month that lowered the cost of the repair and included additional repairs if needed. If the frig could not be repaired, it would be replaced or credited. He said that the policy was month to month and we could cancel anytime. Fast forward 4 months--the frig has been repaired three times (and failed each time) for the same issue. The same tech (William) declared it unfixable and then Cinch denied our claim for any credit. Cinch has confirmed this denial and will also not let us out of the contract and... Read More

Garbage company, takes your money, sends out a tech who wants to rip you off then tells you it's not covered. My Garage door stopped working and they sent out a tech who wanted to charge $900 and said it wasn't covered. To add insult to injury they charged me a $150 fee for him coming out .

SEARS WEBSITE - Buyer Beware! AVOID CINCH When we asked about our warranty in July. We were set to receive paperwork for the warranty. We were charged for 2 months without actually baving the service active. They charged $75 dollars per appliance that they send a tech inspect and couldn't schedule appointments. They refused to fix our appliances, stating that they were too expensive to repair despite allowing a warranty to be placed on the appliance in the first place. According to a representative, the warranty was "too new to activate". Ironically enough, we received the paperwork that would normally be used to properly start the warranty *days* after cancelling our service.... Read More

No Stars. Cinch Home Services Home Warranties with Sears is a complete fiasco! I have been with out a refrigerator since July 28th. I have had to take off work on 7 different occasions for service visits. The technicians are totally incompetent. Every time one left and the other came back on the next service call the previous tech did or did not do something to further the repair. The first tech said my refrigerator wasn't making ice because of water pressure. He did an analysis and told me to wait 24 hours. Same issue. The second tech came out and replaced the ice maker. Told me to wait 24 hours, same issue. Now the refrigerator isn't even getting cold, which leads me to believe it wasn't... Read More

There was water leakage in the basement and floor carpet got all wet. I called home Warrenty first and they sent someone to work on it. The guy who came was nice but said your home Warrenty does not cover water leaking which probably an external issues. I called Warrenty immediately and agent told me we don’t cove water leakage from the hose. Paid $100 per claim this fucking Warrenty for nothing. I called My home insurance as it was like emergency and they replaced carpet, replaced water hose and fixed walls. I would say don’t waste money for this shit home Warrenty. DO NOT WASTE MONEY. LOOK FOR DIFFERENT COMPANY

The Worst for sure. Believe all the reviews!!! Save your money in a account and use it to pay for repairs. The time you save not dealing with these people will be worth the extra cost out of pocket and give you more flexibility in getting things repaired. I would just and am building a savings account for this type of thing.

Cinch Home Services is the worst company I have ever dealt with. First of all the contract we signed is with Sears Home Warranty which is apparently only for name recognition to sell the Cinch appliance warranty service. A total misrepresentation of the truth. I submitted a claim to have our microwave oven repaired and expected a Sears technician to be dispatched, however Cinch assigned the case to a third party repair company with an F rating on BBB so I asked them to reassign to a reputable service company. The next company was not even visible on the internet or BBB. They sent out a tech who submitted a request for authorization to obtain the needed parts but Cinch would not... Read More
