Choice Home Warranty offers existing homeowners two plans, each of which cover a mix of systems and appliances. The primary difference between its Total plan and its Basic plan is that refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioning systems are not included in the Basic Plan. Optional coverage for such items as pools and spas, well pumps, and septic systems is available for an additional fee. We requested a quote for a single family home of less than 5000 square feet in a small midwestern city. The premium for Choice Home Warranty's Basic was $47.85 per month and the premium for its Total pan was $54.95 per month. With the cost difference between the two plans being only about $7 per month, to our mind, the Total plan a better value overall because it includes coverage for three of the most common appliances: refrigerators, washers, and dryers. It also includes coverage for air conditioning systems.

The company's co-pay for a service call is $85, slightly less than most comparable companies. The co-pay may be reduced further with special discounts and promotions.

Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company.

Thank you for the $150 courtesy check you provided even though you could not cover my plumbing repairs. This helped me get a camera to go down my vents and inside my drain lines. The Plumber that gave me an estimate was inaccurate in their account. Per The Plumber and camera man, pipes in main bath are not collapsed as they stated. They were able to unstop bathtub drain.

Gave our request to a company that does not service our county-they finally called us because they could not get through to CHOICE to tell them they would not come out. Overtime I call no matter the day or time I get thessage-"all our reps are currently busy due to high call volume-please hold for a long time" The next company could only do a minimum then had to wait 2 more days for authorization to find the clog. We were without the use of our kitchen sink,dishwasher and washing machine waiting for service from7/5 to 7/11

This is the worst experience I have ever had with a warranty company. The repair person did not show up for two appointments so i was advised by the warranty company to get my own repair person and have them do the work after authorization. Don't do this once he gave the quote it took days to get approval and they required my home inspection from five months ago even though the hold music states that no inspection is required. To get a decision on the claim i had to after many calls refuse to get off the phone until they gave me an answer. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Stay away!!! Choice does NOT follow their user agreement you receive. If they agree to cover your repair/ replacement, they do not reimburse you as it is stated in the guidelines. I'd suggest you keep looking or not getting a home warranty, because you WILL be paying out of pocket for repairs with Choice. In addition to that, representatives lie by omission and supervisors of the Resolution Team (Lanesha) are disrespectful, rude, and do not resolve anything.

3 technicians came out to my house on 3 different occasion to diagnose the same problem and no one has still solved my issue. I will be canceling my service and requesting a refund if my problem is not corrected soon! Ridiculous!

Sent a request to Choice on Monday; had a response within an hour. The vendor set an appointment for Tuesday morning then called later and said they could come Monday late afternoon. We were not available then so went with the Tuesday morning. Vendor arrived a little early. It was necessary to replace our garbage disposal. Work was done quickly and a new disposal was quickly installed. Very impressed with the timeline and the work completed.

My technician arrived on time, introduced himself and went straight to work. He submitted the claim and unfortunately had to wait and then call to get an answer. I then had to call to get told that my claim was still under review while being on hold for over 30 min and told there was no supervisor that I could speak to. Frustrating. I paid for six years. If I have to go through this for every claim I’m not going to be happy. But my technician was super and got the job done once it was approved. Toooo much red tape.

Yes after I had to call after a week when you denied the claim first... instead of investigating which lead me to calling again to get the air conditioner fixed after it being down for 3 days in over 90 degree weather... Thank God the Company you sent Ellis Mechinal fixed the Air Conditioner & we were cool after 3 days Thank you
