Their plans offer protection against the cost of repair or replacement of major systems and appliances in the home via several plans. Choice Home Warranty offers existing homeowners two plans, each of which cover a mix of systems and appliances. The primary difference between its Total plan and its Basic plan is that refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioning systems are not included in the Basic Plan. Optional coverage for such items as pools and spas, well pumps, and septic systems is available for an additional fee. The company states that, in any case, its total liability for any single item is capped at $3000, but lower limits do apply to some covered items.

We requested a quote for a single family home of less than 5000 square feet in a small midwestern city. The premium for Choice Home Warranty's Basic was $47.85 per month and the premium for its Total pan was $54.95 per month. With the cost difference between the two plans being only about $7 per month, to our mind, the Total plan a better value overall because it includes coverage for three of the most common appliances: refrigerators, washers, and dryers. It also includes coverage for air conditioning systems.

The company's co-pay for a service call is $85, slightly less than most comparable companies. The co-pay may be reduced further with special discounts and promotions.

Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company.

Was able to get a same day appointment to take care of the refrigerator. The technician came on time and took care of the problem.

I have 10 different contracts with 18 rentals that I use warranties for. I just cancelled my other Warranty company so this my first time to use choice. My tenant said everything went perfect.

Worst warranty company ever. They have no contractors at one of my home sites, so therefore they can never fix anything. They do not replace water heaters. They do not cover AC replacement only oay a portion. They decidecwhat to give you on appliances. I had a 5 year front load naytag they would not repair and paid $350 for replacement.

All problems can not be corrected as quickly as we sometimes wish, but they all seem to be completed one way or another. In a timely manner, I like the option to make own repair, and then be compensated. Have renewed my contracts. Thanks, CM

I spoke with an agent who was pushy,, irritating and annoying. So much so that I disconnected the call but not before I had provided.my credit card info. I did not confirm my purchase but received a welcome email anyway. Don’t know if I am going to keep the policy yet. I plan to look around. Awful experience.

everything went very well and am pleased to have Choice for my needs. The only thing thing I wasn't happy was the tech that came to take care of the problem should have not asked to get paid for replacing the disposer until after if Choice had denied coverage, which was covered by Choice. I certainly will recommend to friends and family.

With out air for almost 3 days. We are both well into our 70s couldnot take the heat so had to call a repairman our selfs and pay for it our selfs.

Pool pump Repair hasn’t been completed yet so it is difficult to provide an accurate assessment. My observations so far are 1. It takes too long to speak to a customer service representative on the phone 2. there was confusion as to the date and time when pool company was showing up to inspect situation. Received two different dates. 3. So far the pool company just came and made an assessment but hasn’t provided a date when they are coming back to actually do the repair. 4.
