Choice Home Warranty offers existing homeowners two plans, each of which cover a mix of systems and appliances. The primary difference between its Total plan and its Basic plan is that refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioning systems are not included in the Basic Plan. Optional coverage for such items as pools and spas, well pumps, and septic systems is available for an additional fee. The company states that, in any case, its total liability for any single item is capped at $3000, but lower limits do apply to some covered items.

We requested a quote for a single family home of less than 5000 square feet in a small midwestern city. The premium for Choice Home Warranty's Basic was $47.85 per month and the premium for its Total pan was $54.95 per month. With the cost difference between the two plans being only about $7 per month, to our mind, the Total plan a better value overall because it includes coverage for three of the most common appliances: refrigerators, washers, and dryers. It also includes coverage for air conditioning systems.

The company's co-pay for a service call is $85, slightly less than most comparable companies. The co-pay may be reduced further with special discounts and promotions.

Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company.

The tech was very rude and was complaining about everything like “I am not paid to look for the location of things in the house and that the homeowner should know” And to make it even worse the hot water heater has not been fixed

A great experience! I was doubtful when my wife called me and said the washing machine was broke. It had a few years on it and if something major was broke, I didn't think Choice Home Warranty would do anything with it. But to my surprise, when the technician diagnosed that it was to expensive to repair, CHW decide to give me a check to replace it. I am very satisfied with their service, from the time I notified them till replacement decision, it was only 24 hrs. Unbelievable!! I also want to put in a good word for the appliance company who was dispatched to my house, the technician was very courteous and professional. He kept me informed of his arrival and progress. My Hot Water heater went out on a Sunday, I Called "CHOICE", on a Monday AM, Early, and the very soonest they got a repair Man, to me, was Wednesday, Noon. THREE DAYS, Without hot wate ! The r Service Tech you provided, was Great,. Very Courteous and Professional. The repairs were Great, and Paid for, However, the time frame, was Horrible.

CHW did it again. CHW has scheduled technician within 24 hours and technician was at our door step at scheduled time. So far staff have been friendly and courteous, despite dealing with several customers and their complaints. Of course, in a few instances I have to convince the staff about the repairs and they have been understanding and accommodating. Keep it up CHW.

#69969521 9/6 7:30 am called chw 9/7 6:18pm told sears assigned will be here 9/14 8 days after first call. 9/10 got my own vendor received quote of $548.00 5:30 pm received email from chw that it's too much wil REPLACE the fridge they will give us 500.00 IN THIRTY DAYS. Now I don't know where you live try and get a fridge for 500 $ We are seniors living on SS. Thankfully our volunteer fire department is keeping us with ice.Ads say PEACE OF MIND I LAY AWAKE AT NIGHT WORRYING WHAT IF MY FURNACE FAILS!

Except for the mixup with the scheduling, which we had to suffer for another day and night without A/C, the service was excellent. The Techs went straight to the problem, got authorization to do the repairs, and went to work fixing the problem. The Techs were knowledgable and very efficent. Our problem was fixed in a short time, which made us very Happy. Thanks for the great service after the mixup with the schedule. I will recommend this company very highly. This was our first claim with this company. Looking forward to more good service if we should need it. Thank You Wayne Powers, Norfolk, Va.

If you would allow me to rate a one star I would!!! The company has been out 3 times and the problem on the air conditioner still exists, when the outside temperature is 108. This is not only not acceptable, but life threatening when you are 60 years old. Please find a company that can fix the problem. !!!

Vender response time and communications is unacceptable. Ac broke Sat 8sept 18 and it's now the 12th Sept 18 no one has called me to set up an appointment to fix my problem

The company appt was made with never showed up Called the owner he didn't even know where is tech was The own er had been trying to locate him because he had missed other appts also I looked up reviews that said this company has a reputation for this Choice should drop using this company Two weeks later dryer still not repaired
