Their plans offer protection against the cost of repair or replacement of major systems and appliances in the home via several plans. Choice Home Warranty offers existing homeowners two plans, each of which cover a mix of systems and appliances. The primary difference between its Total plan and its Basic plan is that refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioning systems are not included in the Basic Plan. Optional coverage for such items as pools and spas, well pumps, and septic systems is available for an additional fee. The company states that, in any case, its total liability for any single item is capped at $3000, but lower limits do apply to some covered items.

We requested a quote for a single family home of less than 5000 square feet in a small midwestern city. The premium for Choice Home Warranty's Basic was $47.85 per month and the premium for its Total pan was $54.95 per month. With the cost difference between the two plans being only about $7 per month, to our mind, the Total plan a better value overall because it includes coverage for three of the most common appliances: refrigerators, washers, and dryers. It also includes coverage for air conditioning systems.

The company's co-pay for a service call is $85, slightly less than most comparable companies. The co-pay may be reduced further with special discounts and promotions.

Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company.

Very pleased with all service technicians. Easy to contact company and quick response. The only negative experience we had was when my gas cooktop needed parts and I was told you decided replacement instead of having it repaired. Was offered only a third of what I needed to purchase a new one and that was a big downgrade from what I had. I contacted several companies to price and compare and also found out parts were available and it would be much cheaper and beneficial for Choice and myself to repair. My case manager said it was based on a national average and she saw one I could get for the price you offered but would not give me details on where I could find it. So instead of... Read More

I wrote a cautionary review on Oct 15th, to save others from the scam that this company perpetrates. They tagged my review with a note to contact their customer support dept, so I did. Guess what....NOTHING! This place is a Ponzi scheme. They keep signing up new members by any means necessary, including deceptive sales practices, then when customers actually need service there is always some excuse why it's not covered. And when 'management' is confronted with the lies their salespeople use to get more contracts, they don't care. Either pay MORE money or they cancel you. I'm contacting media to have this company held to account for their conduct.

The plumber they sent the last few times was exceptional. Don't have a problem with Choice, I call and they send a technician. It might be a day or two before they come but overall the last couple of calls I put in the Tech was great.

I was having problems with my AC unit, so I called to submit a service request. The representative who answered the call was very helpful and efficient. In less than 24 hours later the tech, Will, arrived. Will made sure all AC components were in good order, and he put in authorization for a replacement thermostat. My daughter and I are now able to sleep comfortably, again. Thank you, Will!!!

The company you sent out Arizona plumbing out of Tucson was very prompt works with me on time schedule and the gentleman named Tim who came out was very very helpful had to go to a hardware store to get some parts came back fix the problem he was super nice I would highly recommend them for anybody else
