Choice Home Warranty is a New Jersey-based company founded in 2008 which offers services contracts. Their plans offer protection against the cost of repair or replacement of major systems and appliances in the home via several plans. Each plan also offers optional coverage for septic systems, pools /spas, well pumps, sump pumps, central vacuuming systems, limited roof leaks, second refrigerators, and standalone freezers.

Their sales tactics are very harsh, unprofessional ,and aggressive when the contract is expiring and for those attempting to get coverage with them after leaving for a while. I’ve had several customer service representatives hang up the phone on me and was downright nasty and insulting when I did not recommit as the plan was coming to an end. I had to eventually stop answering the calls. They do this then usually try to walk back their behaviors toward the end of the call if hey think you’re going to purchase service. The service otherwise was ok.
Twice I have called Choice for about two items that arent working. Once my Built in Micro Wave & then a Comode. Both times they had companies to call & setup a good time to come out. Both times they have sent very good companies out & fixed my problems. Thank you Choice for your quick reply & taking care of Sincerely,

Gary, came with the understanding it was a leak, which it was, but I did not know from where, but it was the garbage disposal. He was nice enough to go and get a new one and install it, but he did not complete the job. He left the collar off ( the thing with the rubber flips), so I can't remember if Choice or his co. J and L told me to call him. I really did not want to, but she gave me his name and phone #..so I called and he was nasty to me...…..wanting to know why and I am trying to explain and he is saying I am on another job and you are calling, blah, blah, that I finally just laid the phone down and disconnected....He was suppose to come back the same day and finish it, but he did... I had the best experience with Choice Home Warranty. They contacted me within hours of my claim and the tech was out the next day. He was professional and so nice. He took the time to explain everything in detail so I understood exactly what was wrong and what parts needed to be replaced. I had a home warranty several years ago with a different company and they were not nearly as efficient or professional as Choice Home Warranty!! Very happy customer!!
The technition was wonderful and very polite. Came right in the morning when we had an issuer that evening/morning. We didn’t have to wait too long.
The plumber could not meet your scheduled appt time, saying it was not coordinated with them.
Yesterday was especially good for me. My refrigerator had been leaking for awhile and this wonderful repair man came out and repaired it in a matter of minutes and he was so very pleasant that you could tell he took pride in his work. Thank you Choice Warrenty for putting me in touch with such a pleasant and knowledgeable repairman in a very short time of my initial call!
I recently had an issue with my garbage disposal and I went on to CHW webpage and filed a claim online, and in less than 36 hours I had a new disposal installed by their technician they sent out. Easy and pleasant transaction. Thank you.
Timely appointment and the company that completed the repair was professional and respectful! This was my first use of my warranty and I am so impressed!
I waited two days and still had not heard heard from my claim specialist so I finally called and t was settled in a matter of 30 seconds. I should’ve called on day one so I could go buy my new washer but I figured maybe they need to time to actually do some research on it. Looks like there was no research done and no time put into it at all. I could’ve had my washer towp days earlier instead of going to the laundromat again. So far. not impressed.
