Choice Home Warranty offers existing homeowners two plans, each of which cover a mix of systems and appliances. The primary difference between its Total plan and its Basic plan is that refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioning systems are not included in the Basic Plan. Optional coverage for such items as pools and spas, well pumps, and septic systems is available for an additional fee. We requested a quote for a single family home of less than 5000 square feet in a small midwestern city. The premium for Choice Home Warranty's Basic was $47.85 per month and the premium for its Total pan was $54.95 per month. With the cost difference between the two plans being only about $7 per month, to our mind, the Total plan a better value overall because it includes coverage for three of the most common appliances: refrigerators, washers, and dryers. It also includes coverage for air conditioning systems.

The company's co-pay for a service call is $85, slightly less than most comparable companies. The co-pay may be reduced further with special discounts and promotions.

Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company.

Choice home warranty worked hard and fast on getting my flooding problem dealt with. They never gave up on trying to get a technician to my house to unclog the main line I felt secure that they were working to get my problem fixed and it did get fixed promptly! Thank you!

It only took 1 day for the service to be performed after the problem was reported to Choice Home Warranty. Garage door serviceman diagnosed the motor quickly and accurately to repair the worn plastic gear. The garage door motor is working well now. THANKS.

The customer service rep. "Ray" was very helpful in answering all of our questions. I realize they probably work on commission and that is why he pushed so hard to get me into the 3 year plan which is understandable and yes, it would have saved me money in the long run. I am happy with the 1 year plan covering all of our appliances and poo, equipment and got a 13 month for free. I will recommend your company to all of my friends and family in the future. Thanks again

I love the service I received from Choice Home Warranty. My air conditioning stopped work the unit would not come on period for air conditioner or heat I thought the air conditioner was broke or the thermostat was not working correctly because it said it was on but when you looked at the book on it. It said to push another mode button and it would say it was off. I called choice home warranty and they had some one here before 24 hours. They fixed it right away. They sent Bennett and sons out and he looks at air handler and thermostat. He found a wire in thermostat was touching anther wire and causing the air conditioner breakers to blow a fuse. We have been with CHW for a long time now and we have to say that when something went boom they were there and did everything in there power to fix it . And it could not be fixed they replaced it . at one point we had a falling out and we left CHW thinking there was something better but Boy were we wrong and came running back and happy to be there....Thank You CHW were so happy to be back and would recommend them too all.....

We recently had problem with Garage Door Opener and Choice Home Warranty assigned Monsour's King Garage Door to our claim. Through the automated system, we were assigned a service call 6 days out and I called Angela at Monsour's and she said if we were flexible, they would be there TODAY (on a Sunday)!!! Even through the snow and ice, Angela and Jimal did make it, assessed the problem and recommended to Choice that the door opener be replaced. The replacement was approved on Monday and Angela and Jimal returned Monday evening to complete the install!!!
