Choice Home Warranty offers existing homeowners two plans, each of which cover a mix of systems and appliances. The primary difference between its Total plan and its Basic plan is that refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioning systems are not included in the Basic Plan. We requested a quote for a single family home of less than 5000 square feet in a small midwestern city. The premium for Choice Home Warranty's Basic was $47.85 per month and the premium for its Total pan was $54.95 per month. With the cost difference between the two plans being only about $7 per month, to our mind, the Total plan a better value overall because it includes coverage for three of the most common appliances: refrigerators, washers, and dryers. It also includes coverage for air conditioning systems.

The company's co-pay for a service call is $85, slightly less than most comparable companies. The co-pay may be reduced further with special discounts and promotions.

Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company.

we are totally dissatisfied with choice warrantee, we can not wait for the contract to be over with. every time we call about a problem we get told that you do not cover that, and it is like well what do you cover. the money that we gave you for the contract was money that was thrown down the drain, but we did not do that because if it clogged you would not repair the drain. right now we have a microwave that does not work due to a problem with the door , you do not cover that. so if we have a problem who do we go to, at least send out a repair man to look at it if you do not cover he will give us a price as to what it would cost us to fix it

Not impressed at all. I wrote a detailed explanation of what was wrong with my refrigerator, they sent a technician and made me pay the service fee and then came back with that isn't covered under warranty. If it wasn't covered why even send a tech out? Read what I wrote and just say not covered. I'm looking for new warranty company as I write this. Only gave one star because pricing is decent. Now I know why!

Thank you for your feedback. In a recent review of the claim I show that when the claim was placed when asked issue you chose controls not working. Had you chosen the exact issue you were having the system would have stop you automatically from placing the claim . Although this type of failure wasn’t covered under our policy terms, this is only 1 out of the 15 systems and appliances in which we provide coverage. Choice is wonderful! You can file a claim on its website and get an almost instant email acknowledgement and a quickly scheduled appointment for the next day for a repairman! So far all of my appliances have been fixed by the vendors they send out. Also their copay for each visit is only $45, much less than my prior home warranty company (that gave worse service).

I have been with Choice a long time going on 10 years! I have been very pleased until I had to have my Septic tank pumped yesterday to the tune of $600 out of my pocket, I don’t understand if you pay extra premium for Septic coverage and they only pay $200! It is actually not real coverage! Very disappointed customer!

I was very please with the person that came and completed the work, I needed done in my bathroom everything was done on the same day the person had much respect for me and my things he was very helpful to me also it wasn't a good day for me healthwise he mopped up the water and put everything back in place, THANKS for looking out for me CHW.

Very satisfied with my services through Choice Home Warranty. They responded quickly to get my claim set up and scheduled. I was particularly happy with the Arizona Appliance Technician, Inc sent to do the job. He showed up on time, was courteous, provided explanation, diagnostics and repair recommendations, and came to the repair appointment on time. The technician had everything needed to complete the job, was professional, informative and courteous throughout the repair. He was very tidy and professional and now all the repaired appliances work perfectly. It was a GREAT experience. Thank your for the terrific service!!
