Their plans offer protection against the cost of repair or replacement of major systems and appliances in the home via several plans. Choice Home Warranty offers existing homeowners two plans, each of which cover a mix of systems and appliances. The primary difference between its Total plan and its Basic plan is that refrigerators, washers and dryers, and air conditioning systems are not included in the Basic Plan. Optional coverage for such items as pools and spas, well pumps, and septic systems is available for an additional fee. The company states that, in any case, its total liability for any single item is capped at $3000, but lower limits do apply to some covered items.

We requested a quote for a single family home of less than 5000 square feet in a small midwestern city. The premium for Choice Home Warranty's Basic was $47.85 per month and the premium for its Total pan was $54.95 per month. With the cost difference between the two plans being only about $7 per month, to our mind, the Total plan a better value overall because it includes coverage for three of the most common appliances: refrigerators, washers, and dryers. It also includes coverage for air conditioning systems.

The company's co-pay for a service call is $85, slightly less than most comparable companies. The co-pay may be reduced further with special discounts and promotions.

Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a full refund of the paid contract fees. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company.

Placed a claim for a problem with my refrigerator and they sent a professional repair person from a very reputable company by the next day. He was very kind and professional and followed Covid-19 CDC guidelines. He immediately knew what the problem was but did need to order the part which I was fine with because the refrigerator is still working and will not effect my food. The part will be here within a few days and he prescheduled an appointment within the week to be back to install it. I’m TOTALLY SATISFIED at this service since this is my first time making a claim with Choice Warranty and highly recommend this Company to everyone! One Happy Customer. Thank you Choice Warranty!

My AC lines were freezing over. I submitted a service request on July 5 and within minutes my appointment was confirmed with a local service company. When they came to my house, they were extremely professional and quickly fixed my issue without any problems. I was very impressed with their service and would highly recommend both CHW and the repair company that they sent to my home.

I had a plumbing emergency where both of my bathrooms were flooding early on a Sunday morning. Instead of stopping to call the warranty company I quickly found a plumber that could come out immediately to stop the flooding of more than just the two bathrooms. The warranty refused to pay for any of that service because they did not get to choose the technician. Then less than a week later my AC went out. I am in SOUTHERN LOUISIANA in July with temperature in the mid-90s and the soonest appointment they would provide me with was about 5 days away. Hero Locksmith was extremely professional. He was courteous in calling me well in advance to let me know he was running behind schedule. When arrived, was wearing a face mask and had ID visually present. Rekeyed locks in a timely manner. Had a great experience with the rekey service.

89873910 i called and advised the friendly young lady I had a stopped up sink. I also told her my stopper in tub had popped out and due to carpal tunnel I just needed it twisted back in. She only gave the tech the sink info. Two very nice, very friendly techs arrived. My sink was 100% stopped. Ugh. Old pipes and something broke while snaking. They were very knowledgeable. They assured me they could fix. They called, and called you guys to no avail. They went for another project and the store waiting for your office to open.
