Choice Home Warranty is a New Jersey-based company founded in 2008. Their plans offer comprehensive protection against the high cost of repair or replacement of major systems and appliances in the home via two different plans. Choice Home Warranty's coverage of home systems and appliances is squarely in line with industry practices. They exclude malfunctions caused by failing to provide proper cleaning or maintenance. Refrigerators, air conditioning systems, washers and dryers are excluded from coverage by the basic plan, but can be added in the premium plan. Cancellation Policy

The contract shall be non-cancelable by the company except for nonpayment of contract fees or service fees, fraud or misrepresentation of facts by the customer, or by agreement between client and company. Customers may cancel within the first 30 days of the order date for a refund of the paid contract fees, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company. If canceled after 30 days, the customer shall be entitled to a pro rata refund of the paid contract fee for the unexpired term, less a $50 administrative fee and any service costs incurred by the company. All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.

Setting the appointment was not a pleasant experience. I felt like I was being interrogated when I put in the request. If a piece of equipment covered by the warranty doesn't work, a life history of the equipment should not concern the warranty company, unless you are trying to find ways to get out of paying the claim. I rated the company as 3 stars because the response time on the claim was carried out very efficiently.

Within a couple minutes talked to an actual person that took my info and was told someone would text or email me with 24 hrs. with an appt. time.

Very easy to file claim and we got a service appointment quickly. The only change I would like is to be able to request a certain service provider. We had a claim on our AC system last year and would have liked to be able to use the same one that repaired it the last time who we really liked. When this new claim was made we were told that we could not request someone.

I called the warranty company about my furnace not working. The service technician came the next day and repaired my furnace. Very pleased with the service.

Wow! I am very impressed with the service all the way around. 3 minutes after I put in the claim (in the evening), an automated call came in telling me that the service was set up for the next day. I called the plumber in the morning to get an exact time and they were able to accommodate me so that I didn't have to cancel a meeting. The service person was friendly, informative and quick. So much better than the other warranty company's service.

Recently moved into a home that is nearly 90 years old. Last owners maintained somethings but not all. Gradually appliances are beginning to break, phoned Choice Home Warranty and our experience was great. The young man on the phone was very helpful, provided all necessary info that we needed and was excellent customer service representative. Hopefully the repairs go as well. Thank you
