AFC was the third warranty company we have had over the last 10 years. We switched because of price and it is obvious you get what you pay for. This company never has vendors in our area and we have had to get our own vendor a few times and then wait for reimbursement. Previously our AC went out on a rental property and a different home warranty company paid to have a new one installed (over $2000). Recently our AC went down in our residential property and AFC told us they would only give us $150 towards the repair and that was a "gift" because the AC was 20 years old and not even valued at $150. This company is cheaper than many others and now we see why.

Mike, thank you so much for your feed back. Whether it's positive or negative, we want to hear what our homeowners have to say. We have certain policies/guidelines with each appliance. Each appliance must be up to code, and up to date in maintenance, as well as, if we were to put money down on an appliance, we would match its worth and value. We want to service our homeowners but within reason. We cannot pay top of the line on something that has depreciated in value. We apologize for your frustration and wish we could have pleased you to your liking. If you would like, its never too late to give one of our managers a call and we can try to resolve your issue.
This company is a joke. We have had three calls on our washing machine in the past year and each time it has taken weeks to get it fixed. This last claim took the cake. It took 8 weeks and still it wasn't fixed. We finally went and bought a new one. They promised to send the art overnight and then didn't send it fro over a week. They finally sent the part to the wrong address then had to send it again only this time they delivered it before the place of business opened so instead of going back later they sent the part back to IL. Guess what everyone! I live in Georgia and very close to Marietta, GA where this company is based. AND TODAY, I am cancelling my agreement with this crooked, lying, and SOB so called Home Warranty Company. I will never recommend or refer this company to many of my relatives or friends who also lives in Georgia. The customer service rating of being a 5-star is a JOKE. As a GREAT Mr. Clark Howard would say, This is customer NO SERVICE. I totally agree with all of you as there are so many exclusions and tricks written in their Terms and Condition package rather than amount of items they covered. just signed up for home warranty with Craig Powell and he was so friendly and helpful. so unlike the last home warranty i dealt with this past year. so thanks Craig keep up the great work.
I have been with America's 1st Choice Home Club for a little bit over two years and so far have had 3 claims: two were for plumbing and one from a broken water pipe.
It was really easy to make the claims, I called my own plumber and only paid my deductible and 4-6 weeks later I got my refund. I already signed for 3 more years!
I HIGHLY recommend this Company.

I don't know where this company got there's star rating from I had this warenty company 6 months now I put a claim in 2 months ago for a hot water heater after 4 days they told we don't cover it because it's ten years old now I put a claim in last week my ac was not working I to wait 4 days before somone would come to check it out because no company wants to work with this warenty company I needed a new coil they told we don't cover that people who get this warenty company check the fine print they pretty much don't cover anything and no one wants to do any work for them if they don't give my money back I'm going to a lawer
Still the worst one! AFC called me right after I submit the review and claimed that they will cover my water heater for $150. Yeah! Because it is in my 1st month coverage (after 30 days waiting), they only cover $150 for the first month no matter what is broken. Who knows how much they will cover for the 2nd, 3rd, fourth month?
Worst one. I have been through 3 home warranty companies, AFC is the worst one. I thought it will cover my water heater with Gold membership. But I am wrong, it not cover water heater "leaking" ---- which need changed the whole unit. I had one water heater replaced by another home warranty company with the same problem in my previous house, they didn't even ask me any question about it. If you still want to purchase AFC's plan, please read their contract word by word, there are many tricks in it.
I'm not with this home warranty service. I'm doing my research to find the best company. Reading the reviews and observation was made that all the 5 star reviews comes from people in Georgia and found that to be true. Well I live in Texas so this tells me that this is not the company for me.
I am having a horrible experience with AFC Home Club. They have more exclusions than covered items, but they will not tell you about those exlcusions when you are shopping for a policy. In my case, I was directly communicating with AFC Home Club sales team and not one of their reps told me that they require annual maintenance on HVAC units. Nor will you find that anywhere on their website. They did not mail the actual contract to me until 2.5 months after I purchase the contract, so I could not even read all the fine print during the so called "30 day money back guarantee review period".
