WHAT A JOKE!! We received a warranty as part of our purchase contract on a home. They have done everything they can to get out of the repair. They quote some paragraph and subsection. It would have been nice to receive of this quote contract. They claim our repair is a modification. It is not it's simply reinstalling the unit back in properly that was improperly installed improperly the first-time. Rating negative 10
I've used this service for several years and am always very pleased when I need to use it! Super easy to order a service call. Great servicemen who are professional, respectful, skilled and efficient. Once I had to have my washer replaced and working with AHS made is super easy and quick. I am extremely satisfied with AHS!
This service company is truly astounding. Serviceman called promptly, updated on time, visually inspected problem appliance (leaking water heater) took corrective measures, arrived with replacement unit and working under cold rainy conditions replaced the water heater. Very professional. He even talked to the doberman.
When I put in the claim for service for my garbage disposal the contractor was assigned quickly. Contractor contacted me within 15 minutes of lacing the service the requewst.
They will send the cheapest contractor out there. If you google contractors in your area, I assure you that none of the top 10 will be who they send. If you want a contractor with a website even ( I know, modern stuff) , then DO NOT use american home shield.
If you are fine with any contractor coming into your house and taking the risk that they will not make things worse, then AHS is for you.
A complete waste of money unless you are ok with some jackleg coming to do the work.
Having American Home Shield this first year after owning our home has been such a comfort to me. The service that we've received in that time has been amazing! When our dish washer and washing machines went out, American Home Shield was there for me with quick and competent service. Thank you!
We've been an AHS member for over 27 years and we love the service we have gotten. Service request are handled in a timely manner and the customer service is always great.
While I have used AHS with some success in the past, my recent experience has been unacceptable. I can provide documentation in writing and report on the conversation my tenants had with the service repair rep involved in the incident and that I had with the AHS rep and service repair company as well. AHS sent a service repair person to evaluate/fix a faulty HVAC unit and who spoke with me over the phone providing the report stating damage that AHS described as physical damage from "abuse" a condition under which AHS Home Warranty does not cover. Wonderful service! A very nice man and so experienced and knowledgeable in plumbing and with servicing my leaking kitchen sink faucet. He went above and beyond to explain the steps and the reasoning for the leakage. There were two separate problems discovered and he went above and beyond to explain the steps and the reasoning for the leakage and how every line/hose operated. A main hose was replaced as it too long and it clogged. Nuts, bolts and clamps were tightened. The garbage disposal, dishwasher, osmosis lines were all tested! I have been their customer for past 3 years and last week my pool pump stoped working. So, i called AHS for service and pride $95.00 for them to send someone to check it out. They came out and wrote that the high level of Chlorine burned my pump and for this reason AHS have refused to replace my pump. They are just like all the other companies just happy to take your money. I called my pool cleaning company that the high level of chlorine which they put in my pool caused the pump to burn. They laughed.
This company is not honest and they will never repair anything that cost more than $100.
