Delta is the biggest scam running. They are NOT paying claims - and they hit people up in adance for premiums for two months! Read the Consumer Affairs reviews - those are honest. This page is a joke. Delta Dental Insurance is fraudulent - and that's being nice.

Dentistry is an integral part of human health. The insurance companies which offer coverage are only half the issue. Insurance covers the patient, but supports the true client; the dental practice. Healthcare varies greatly from state to state, as to the aim of community outreach, protection, representation and duty to service. In Arizona for example; I was very happy with services offered, and rendered with Delta Dental: in the state of Nevada this has been a terrible joke. I called DD in Nevada to inquire about billing issues that were contradictory, from booklet to dental practice. It was explained that I could have been charged more for services in question. The next day the dental... Read More

HORRIBLE SERVICE PROVIDED BY DELTA DENTAL IN PROCESSING CLAIMS FROM SERVICES PROVIDED OUTSIDE THE USA. I've submitted a claim that was INCORRECTLY DENIED of dental treatment services provided to me in a foreign country. Delta Dental claims processing is SO POOR EQUIPPED and NOT KNOWLEDGEABLE that the person who processed my claim TWICE could not make the proper research and finding what I am STATING CLEARLY:" NOTA FISCAL" IS THE OFFICIAL SERVICES RECEIPTS ISSUED IN BRAZIL FOR EVERY TYPE OF SERVICE. THIS IS A GOVERNMENTAL OFFICIAL DOCUMENT ISSUED IN EVERY STATE IN BRAZIL FOR SERVICES PROVIDED BY DOCTORS, DENTISTS, OR WHATEVER OTHER SERVICE PROVIDER. The claim was initially denied and a... After calling to confirm a procedure was covered, I pushed the appointment the appropriate waiting period time, as told from a representative over the phone. It was a lovely surprise to fight with Delta Dental for the following 6 months after that appointment after they denied coverage for any of the appointment. I finally canceled my insurance with them, seeing that they were just going to go back and forth with me until I paid off the entire bill myself and would then drop it anyways. They were horrible to work with. I cannot NOT recommend them enough.

Delta's advertising seems that having the plan is a good idea. The problem is that dentists have a contract with Delta and therefore the client that the charges will be as advertised. this is false. I have Senior PPO. the plan is 2 stages. The first is maintenance which covers cleaning every 6 months. The cost for cleaning with no insurance is about $120 per visit or about $480 in coverage if both spouses have cleanings. The cost is $42.85 a month/$512.20 per year. In addition they cover Xrays every 5 years. So there is ZERO savings. Delta advertises that other procedures are based on "negotiated fees". My dentist continuously charged their rate not the negotiated rate. I complained to... Read More

Be sure to do your math when choosing. I have an individual premium and pay quarterly (124 x 4 times year = 496). The maximum payout is $1000, so while I did save $500, I'm not sure how helpful it is. Delta will pay for my 6 extractions, but nothing for the partials until next year. So, I'll still have to pay to go toothless for 10 months.

These guys are not worth the monthly hassles and fees. Honestly, nothing submitted is ever without problems. Their online payment system is flat out terrible, doesn’t work as suggested for most folks, and is a monthly hassle.

Delta Dental is a fraud. In fact, I'm looking to find out who regulates dental insurance. They owe us money and it is impossible for someone decent to answer our calls. They lie and glimpse the conversation and try to confuse people only with the intention of not paying what they owe. My husband and I have been deceived for more than 4 years. Who regulates and sanctions the people behind this? No stars - Zero Even to submit this comment they force you to click on a star

I am in process of an "Appeal" with coverage and the plan I purchased. I will report when the appeal is complete as I signed up for a specific procedure, which was reduced to what Delta Dental feels is necessary. I was very specific as my husband needs 3 of this kind of procedure which now will cost us thousands of dollars. It is very clear that I would not have bought and paid $1,600. per year and utilized $1,400. in benefits when the benefit is $2,000/year. I am very knowledgable when it come to insurance, and I have asked Delta Dental to review the "taped conversation" when I was being sold the policy over the phone to cover specific needs. I have had Delta Dental since it's... Read More
