The worst company. Just taking money from your pocket. I canceled autopayment on August 2021, but they continued to charge money from my bank card after that. Now I have to pay a huge fee to the bank because it shouldn't be any charges from this bank card.

I would like to give a zero rating for Delta Dental. I have insurance through employer for at least 7 years. Feb this year I visit provider that i have seen the past 3 years. They moved physical location to be stand alone bldg during pandemic, Delta denied claim for Periodontist cleaning. First the reason because the address was different on the claim submitted. The office responded many many times with there request to correct any address concerns by Delta. I called so many times and most customer service reps had not a clue or wanted to do the work to look up the problem, a simple address change. I finally submitted a grievance for review, the finding in the letter recvd. stated I... Read More

Horrible company! My mother-in-law purchased Delta Dental insurance when we lived in Pennsylvania, and paid for it for almost 2 1/2 yrs. She used it one time, at the very end of those 2 1/2 yrs., just before we moved to Alabama. The total for her dental procedure was around $600 and it was covered. Once we moved to Alabama, she informed them of the move and she paid the monthly premium each month for the next 3 months. At that time she broke a tooth and had to visit a dentist. She called Delta to let them know about the procedure and they told her that she had to wait a year before they would cover anything. WHAT??? So she's paid for nearly 3 yrs. of premiums, used it once, and they told... Read More

Delta made a statement that is simply False and I have to deal with the consequences of it. There is a procedure Delta does not cover and I paid it out of pocket. However, the EoB statement shows as if it was covered. That is simply FALSE. Why do you do that Delta?

Be careful when selecting this insurance. They have a "lost tooth clause". So if you had a cracked tooth pulled prior to your policy start date they do not cover any replacement cost of that tooth which can be close to $10,000. They are not an ethical company and it doesn't matter if you were with another Delta Plans. Sad they can treat federal employees this way and our government lets them get away with by using them as a viable contract.

Yes I'm concurring with the other reviews here that DD is not worth even checking out. You should be suspicious from the first day when they insist on being able to "pull" premiums from your checking account or credit card. No other insurance i"ve ever had does anything like that, but foolishly I agreed, and when I later decided to end the service, they would not honor that but insisted I keep paying for the entire year. I was enraged, since I've never heard of any sort of ins. where you are obligated to pay for services not yet rendered. So finally I realized I could just call my Visa and ask them to issue me a new card with different numbers, with they did. This company never seems... Read More

Shortly prior to July 26, 2021, I enrolled my spouse and myself in an AARP-sponsored Delta Dental PPO plan. I was told that the premiums would have to be taken monthly from my checking account and that the premium for the first two months would be debited up front. Naively, I supplied my bank's routing number and my checking account number and on July 26 the amount I had been quoted was debited from my account as an ACH transaction. Although my dental coverage was supposed to have started August 1, I heard nothing, received no email or any physical materials or insurance cards in the mail. When I called Delta Dental to ask about my coverage, they have no record whatsoever of my... Read More

Over the years, I've been with every Dental insurance company operating in NYS, and this is by far my worst experience. Every claim requires constantly going back and forth to battle their support for even the most basic things like cleanings and x-rays. Never covered off the bat, always denied initially regardless of going to an in network dentist. Their messaging support system on their website has been non-functional for weeks, and calling in gets you some support center overseas. The real cherry on top for me with this company was that in 2021, the only way to submit a claim is via the mail. I don't know about you, but I'm 33 year old home-owning tax payer, and I haven't... DeltaCare USA is the worst dental plan I've used. When I signed up for the plan I was told maintenance visits were free, but after I went for a dental visit they would charge me $30 copay for teeth cleaning and x-ray. They don't allow you to just go to any dentist in their network. Instead they would assign one for you. When I needed to use another dentist, I had to call them several times to get reassinged. First they got the new dentist's fax wrong, then their phone line couldn't understand my enrollee ID, then they got the facility code of the new dentist wrong. It was horrible and frustrating. Do yourself a favor and don't use them!
