Embrace gets good marks from us mainly on the strength of customer satisfaction.

Even though plans are a little on the pricier side, and unlimited coverage is not an option, customer feedback is among the most positive.

Also, Embrace offers standard coverage of many conditions and treatments not offered at all by most plans. These include behavioral therapy and prosthetics.

Embrace sets itself apart from the pack in coverage because, in addition to providing for usual accidents and illnesses, the company also covers various items not traditionally offered under other companies' standard plans.

These include prosthetic limbs, behavioral therapy, and alternative treatments. Embrace also offers prescription drug coverage and a wellness plan at an additional cost.

As with all pet insurance plans, Embrace will not cover pre-existing conditions if they were apparent before the policy purchase.

The company enables their customers to choose annual deductibles of $100, $200, $300, $500 and $1000. They also offer a program called Healthy Pet Deductible.

Embrace's waiting periods are pretty much standard when compared to other companies.

For accidents and illnesses, the waiting period is 14 days. However, in some states, the waiting period for accidents is only 48 hours or two days.

There is an additional six month waiting period for dogs for orthopedic conditions, but there is an option to have this reduced to as little as 14 days.

Embrace will not allow pets older than 14 to enroll in illness coverage, which some other plans do.

Embrace has some of the best feedback we've seen when it comes to customer service.

The majority of online reviews mirror generally positive experiences. To make a claim you must fill out the claim form that was included with the enrollment email.

You can also download the form on the website or have it mailed to you. The form must be filled out by a veterinary staff member. Include all relevant invoices and receipts and fax or email them all to the company.

Embrace offers direct deposit to get you the reimbursement as quickly as possible. Furthermore, beginning recently, claim forms can now also uploaded through MyEmbrace, the company's online customer account.

After paying premiums for almost a year I finally submitted 2 claims totally around $900. To explain a little our dog was a rescue of 3 years old . The claims were submitted on line about one about a month ago and the other 2 weeks ago. After me contacting them on line asking about the claim I was asked for medical records for the dog one year prior to us owning him! How is that possible he is a rescue? We have absolutely no idea who owned him prior. Upon telling Embrace this they referred to some small print that basically says that they hove to extend the "Illness Waiting Period" to basically the whole of the first year, just insane. Everything that I submitted to Embrace would get denied. After 6 months of paying for pet insurance and getting denied for everything, I just canceled. I was paying for vet bills and pet insurance and not getting reimbursed.

This is really useless pet insurance company. My dog has damaged her leg. We went to an urgent care and did an X-Ray. Embrace Pet Insurance said they need a medical history from that urgent care. I never been to that urgent care before so we had no history there. Embrace said it will take longer time to process. And they never paid the claim off. Why do I pay them if they don't do their job? I regret that I was paying them for 2 years.

I had this insurance for 2 years...no claims. Then my premiums jumped 150%. I was told because of my location and breed type was the reason for the increase....though both of those things has never changed since I got the insurance 2 years ago. Total BS and price gouging!! Dropped it today!!

I have my great dane insured with Embrace at what I consider a very high premium. She has been insured since she was eight years old and the premium has steadily increased despite my having absolutely xero (0) claims. My premium went up 35% - YES 35% in one year. I contacted the company and received NO SATISFACTION from them. I was told they increased premiums across the board by this much. THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS. I have had no claims with this company and my premium went up 35%. God help me if I have a claim with this company. I pay over $700.00 for 80% coverage and $500.00 deductible.

I could tell you a fantastically heart-strings tuggin' story. But I won't. It's simple. My dog MFC Bronson and I have been Embraced since day one. I have never had a claim denied. I have always received awesome customer service. Every claim reimbursement check has been received within days of filing. See? I told you it was simple.

I have been with Embrace fir over a year. We have 2 boxers insured. I have never had a problem with reimbursement. You submit your claim and within in a week you are refunded. Sometimes they need more medical information, but even with that the communication is wonderful. I recommend Embrace to ever pet owner. We have sick and wellness. Unfortunately we have a sicky boxer and we have made several claims this year. We have not had a problem with Embrace. Money is in my acct within a week. I am beyond thankful and impressed with Embrace.

I was really pleased with the Embrace claim experience. We had two fairly serious hiccups with our puppy within a few weeks of each other, and thanks to our amazing vet, we were ushered through the claim submission process and received our reimbursement quickly.

Embrace is the best. I have been with embrace insurance for many years with my two dogs. I have never had a problem with them paying. Such wonderful people to do business with. They are right up front with you. Love theses guys!!

I can highly recommend Embrace! I am very impressed. Their customer service is great and my claims have been paid and processed quickly and fairly. In fact, when I first signed up for coverage, I asked for a medical review so I could know whether either of my two dogs had any preexisting conditions that would not be covered. So I knew beforehand what would or would not be covered. My experience with them has been very positive. I am very satisfied with this insurance.
